Meridian Towing & Recovery isn’t a big corporate towing company, and we don’t want to be.

We’re just a small, family-owned and operated business trying to make it in today’s economy. Our drivers aren’t employees: they’re the owners.

Every call we answer, every tow we complete, and every late-night roadside assist directly helps our family pay bills, keep the lights on, and continue building something we’re proud of.

We aren’t chasing a luxury lifestyle or trying to become the biggest company in town. We’re simply working hard every day to earn an honest living.

We may not have the newest fleet, the biggest yard, or the fanciest shop, but what we do have is experience, integrity, and a genuine commitment to taking care of people. The little guys matter just as much as the bigger guys 🩶

One of our owners proudly served our country as a veteran. Another is rebuilding life from the ground up. Together, we’ve poured every dollar we’ve earned back into this business because we believe in doing things the right way.

With over 15 years of towing and management experience, and a family background in law enforcement, safety, honesty, and treating people with respect aren’t just business values; they’re the way we were raised.

And maybe the biggest reason we keep pushing? Our autistic son watches everything we do. He dreams of one day working alongside his dad and brother, carrying on what we’re building today. That’s the legacy we’re working toward.

A lot of people only see the few miles their vehicle was towed, but they don’t see everything that goes on behind the scenes to make that response possible.

Tow companies invest thousands of dollars in equipment, training, insurance, fuel, maintenance, and staffing so we’re ready whenever the call comes in, day or night. We hope nobody ever needs us, but when they do, we’re there.

“All you did was tow it a few miles. Why does it cost so much?”

It’s a question towing companies hear all the time after police directed emergency towing.

The answer is simple: you’re not paying for the few miles your vehicle traveled. You’re paying for the emergency response system that made it possible for help to arrive when you needed it. Not scheduled, not tomorrow, not when we can fit it in, but right now immediate response.

Like EMS and the fire department, towing companies are expected to respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year—often within 20 minutes of being called by law enforcement. That means maintaining trained operators, dispatch systems, insurance, storage facilities, and hundreds of thousands (sometimes millions) of dollars in specialized equipment ready to roll at a moment’s notice.

Here’s the difference…

Police departments are funded.

Fire departments are funded.

EMS receives public funding, grants, or municipal support.

Emergency towing companies receive none.

In fact, we may be the only emergency service expected to maintain around-the-clock readiness without taxpayer funding. Even more challenging, approximately 40% of our police-requested services ultimately go unpaid.

Yet when the phone rings at 2:00 AM, during a snowstorm, after a serious crash, or when a roadway needs cleared for public safety, we’re still expected to respond immediately.

And we do.

The invoice isn’t paying for a few miles of towing.

It’s paying for the trucks, equipment, facilities, insurance, training, and people standing by 24/7, ready to respond when nobody else can.

That’s the true cost of emergency towing.

Our office will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember those who have served our country. 🇺🇸

While our office will be closed, our towing and roadside assistance services will continue to operate 24/7 throughout the holiday weekend , because vehicle trouble doesn’t take holidays off.

The office will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th, and resume normal business hours.
