🥒💚 THANK YOU, PICKLEFEST 💚🥒
Well, friends... The people have spoken!
One of the most common questions we heard yesterday was: "Are you doing this again next year?"
And by popular demand, it appears we have no choice but to continue the pickle-fueled chaos. 😆🥒
First, let's address the elephant in the room:
🌧️ The rain.
It rained. All. Day.
But the rain stopped absolutely nothing. We had contingency plans in place, we adjusted as needed, and despite the umbrellas lined up at the door and the cloudy skies stealing some of the magic from our selfie station, we still saw people laughing, shopping, dancing, eating, creating memories, and having fun both inside and out.
Honestly, we can't imagine what attendance would have looked like had the weather cooperated.
The turnout exceeded every expectation we had.
That said, we hear you. The rain drove everyone indoors, and at times it felt crowded and overwhelming. We heard your feedback regarding traffic flow, wait times, and space limitations, and we'll use those lessons to make next year's event even better.
Truthfully, we never expected quite so many people. Now we know. 😉
What stood out most wasn't the attendance, though. It was the kindnes, patience, smiles, and encouragement. The countless words of support. We heard every bit of it, and we love you right back.
💚 To our staff: You are absolute rockstars. Thank you for the countless steps, the flexibility, the problem-solving, and the energy you brought from start to finish. We could not have done this without you.
💚 To our vendors: Thank you for showing up with enthusiasm, creativity, and patience despite the weather. You are the heart of events like these.
💚 To Sean Miller for providing the soundtrack to our day.
💚 To Winging It Food Truck and The Little Soup Truck for keeping everyone fed.
💚 To Smokin' Good Salsa for the lemonade, pickles, and pickle spirit.
💚 To Glass Bolivar, who spent the day out there in the rain doing what can only be described as brute-force artistry. We are still in awe.
And finally...
💚 Thank you to every person who attended.
We've been told Picklefest created a significant economic impact for our community, and we'll wear that compliment with pride because supporting local businesses is what Farm Hippie has always been about.
But more than the sales, more than the numbers, more than the turnout...
What fills our hearts today are the smiles, families, conversations, and memories.
And mostlu the realization that something we dreamed up months ago brought so many people together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Until next year...
🥒 Pickle Panic lives on.
