The Pitt Stop family would like to sincerely thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, kind words, and support you’ve shown our family following the loss of Lucy “Momma” Pittman.

The love shown to our family over these past couple of weeks has meant more to us than we can say, and we are truly grateful to have such a supportive community around us.

As we begin a new week, Pitt Stop is back open and returning to our normal business hours. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we took time away to be with family and celebrate Momma’s life.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lucy Pittman, a beloved member of our family and an important part of the Pitt Stop story.

Lucy was Darryl’s mother, but her place in the Pitt Stop family went far beyond that. She was there through the years, helping build and shape Pitt Stop into what it is today. Many of our longtime customers and friends came to know and love her, and to many, she was simply “Momma.”

Her love, her laughter, and the role she played in our family and Pitt Stop will never be forgotten. We are incredibly grateful for the years and memories we were blessed to share with her.

In honor of Lucy and to allow our family to come together to celebrate her life, Pitt Stop will be closed Friday, August 21. We will reopen for normal business hours Monday, August 24.

We appreciate the love, prayers, and support from our customers, friends, and community during this time.

Rest easy, Momma. You will always be a part of Pitt Stop. đź’™
