Home Service Station was established in 1916; however, for the first few years, it was mainly a gas station. Home Service originally began selling Standard Oil (Sohio) until the mid-'60s, then switched to the Texaco brand that was sold until 1971. It was then that the Marathon Oil brand was introduced and was sold until 1999 until Northtown Marathon Inc. was built and the fuel side of the business
was moved to that location by Larry Hausfeld and Dan Brackman, who were the owners at the time. Home Service Station has been known for auto and truck repair until 1990 the wrecker business was purchased/added from Tom Hoyng (Custom Body Shop) that remains part of their service to this day. Tom Roessner bought the business in April 2015 and is excited to keep offering the same great service that Home Service has become famous for the last 100+ years.
