They are going to tear up Hudson St. 😭

Heads up to our customers and community: South Hudson Street in Coldwater, Michigan is scheduled to be closed on September 8, 2026 while road work is completed.

Ten years. Same address. Two completely different photos.

The first photo shows 21 S Hudson Street ten years ago, before Denning Auto Glass & Calibration had officially moved into the building. At the time, we were preparing the space and getting everything ready to begin serving customers from our new location in downtown Coldwater.

Now look at it today.

Ten years later, the transformation goes far beyond what you can see from the street. As the building changed, so did the automotive and auto glass industries, and Denning Auto Glass & Calibration continued to grow right along with them.

Windshield replacement isn't what it was a decade ago. Today's vehicles can have cameras and advanced driver assistance systems connected directly to the windshield, requiring specialized equipment, training, and calibration procedures after the glass is replaced. We've invested in that technology and expanded our capabilities so we can perform both static and dynamic ADAS calibrations right here at 21 S Hudson Street.

Our equipment has changed. Our knowledge has grown. Our capabilities have expanded. We've continued educating ourselves, improving our processes, and adapting to increasingly advanced vehicles while remaining focused on the quality and safety of every installation.

And while these two pictures show just how much can change in ten years, they also represent something that hasn't changed: the commitment we bring to the work performed inside this building and to the people who trust us with their vehicles.

What started as an empty building being prepared for its next chapter has become an established auto glass and calibration shop serving Coldwater and communities throughout Southern Michigan.

Brad's 2025 Honda HR-V was in the shop for a new windshield and the static ADAS calibration required afterward.

Today's vehicles rely on advanced safety technology that works through cameras and sensors, and windshield replacement can be directly connected to those systems. Once the new glass was installed, our technicians performed the static calibration to ensure the system was properly calibrated before Brad's HR-V was returned to him.

Today we're celebrating the birthday of Rose Denning, owner and one of the people who helped turn an idea in a garage into the Denning Auto Glass & Calibration we know today.

In 2003, Rose and Lou started Denning Glass from their home in Girard. From handling one vehicle at a time in the garage to working outside beneath a tree during the summer months, Rose was there from the beginning, helping build the business through hard work, determination, and a belief in what it could become.

When growth eventually demanded more space, it was Rose who spotted the FOR RENT sign at 21 S Hudson Street one Sunday after church. She wrote down the number, made the call Monday morning, and helped set in motion the move that would bring Denning Auto Glass into downtown Coldwater. Years later, they purchased the building, securing the future of the business in the community they had worked so hard to serve.

Rose continues to be an important part of Denning Auto Glass & Calibration and the values behind our family business. Her dedication to our customers, our community, and the company she helped create can still be seen throughout the shop every day.

Happy Birthday, Rose! Thank you for everything you've poured into Denning Auto Glass & Calibration and for continuing to be such an important part of where we're headed.
