Day Shift Maintenance Technician

Gokoh Coldwater Incorporated (aka GCI) is a leading tier two supplier of sand cores for the automotive industry. We manufacture cores for castings of brake rotors and water passages. We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Maintenance Technician on our day shift. The eligible candidate will support manufacturing by maintaining, repairing and servicing the production equipment.

Full Time: 40+ hours.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Inspect sand core production machinery and sub-equipment for defects
* Able to operate the production machinery with minimum supervision
* Troubleshoot repairs and perform preventative maintenance
* Assist in identifying problems and/or equipment repair needs
* Support production department to achieve target goals
Issue trouble reports and perform work on existing trouble reports

Tool & Die Maintenance

Gokoh Coldwater Inc. (GCI) is a leading tier two supplier of sand cores for the automotive industry. We manufacture cores for ferrous casting of brake rotor sand water passages. We are seeking candidates to fill the role of a Die Maintenance Tech. The eligible candidate will support manufacturing by maintaining die molds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Checking all process areas to insure safe working conditions

· Safety Awareness

·· Making sure molds all confirmed for quality

· Making sure all Dies are capable of producing parts that meet quality specs

· Minimize downtime for production

· Keep current QC standards

· Communicate test information

· Knowledge of quality assurance procedure (learned)

· Knowledge of quality assurance flow chart (learned)

· Understanding of parts specifications

· Reporting to all levels of management

· Making out daily reports, sheets, and communications as required

Required Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Ability to learn new technologies and work as a team

· Ability to read and comprehend all work instructions and pertinent production sheets and data

· Ability to follow directions and communicate with other team members

Desired Skills:

· Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Some knowledge in basic electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic and welding.
Basic knowledge of Fanuc robotics

Job description

Machine Operator, open on our Second & Third shifts.

-$500 monthly attendance premium

-Additional Sign on $500 bonus at 30 days

-Additional Sign on $500 bonus at 60 days

-Recruitment Bonus - $500

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities

Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Maintain activity logs
Skills

Proven experience as a machine operator
Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
Understanding of production procedures
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Analytical skills
Attention to detail
Teamwork and communication skills
Physical stamina and strength
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
