Had an idea for an invention... Keep in mind, I'm no Albert Einstein or Mark Zuckerberg, but hopefully this is my "big one"... A variation of a trusted original. Putting it out here cause I don't have the funds to get it to market. God knows we need the money this idea has the potential to bring... But as the old saying goes... "It takes money to make money". That being said, I'm only a poor middle class american living paycheck to paycheck... Money is something that is hard to spare... Never mind fund the invention process. This being said I'm putting out into "Facebook land",if you will, in the hopes that you, or someone you know, believes enough in this idea to help me make it a reality...
So here's my pitch... Have you or anyone you know ever had to put a vehicle up in storage for a period of time? Whether it be for the winter months, or for a longer period such as a restoration... Especially if that storage will be outside... How many of you have stored that vehicle only to come back to tire damage? Weather cracking, broken belt(s), and/or flat spots can occur. Temperature changes and other extreme weather, snow, freezing rain etc., can also be a factor. Here's the thing, tires and rims can cost a lot. Some high end tires costing over a $1000 a piece... And don't even get me started on the custom rims ranging in the thousands... Bottom line, neither of them are getting any cheaper. These stands would allow for the safe and secure storage of a vehicle, especially outside, without sacrificing any tires. They would also allow for certain mechanical and body repairs that could normally be done with the tires in place. An example of this would be if you wanted to paint a vehicle without risking the tires and rims to paint exposure, among others. The biggest reason I'm putting it on FB, if nothing else, is to prove that it was my idea first. I haven't seen anything like these and I've been searching the web since I came up with the idea @ a week ago. This idea was born from the fact that our Square Body has some pretty expensive tires on it... Tires I'd like to keep around for a while... Tires I can't afford to replace all at once... Hence the HMAS Hub Mounted Axle Stands. The nice thing is you only have to buy as many sets of stands as you have axles, 1,2,3 etc... Once you own the stands, if you need to mount them to another axle hub, you don't have to buy new stands. The yellow Hub Mounting Plates are interchangeable. All one needs to do is purchase the corresponding Hub Mounting Plates for the new vehicle, trailer etc. If you or someone you know has the funds and knowhow to help me get this invention to market, please contact me A.S.A.P... Would really like to say I did something useful with my life while I was here. Would give me a legacy to be proud of...and hopefully the money needed to take care of my family and those who believed in me/my invention.... I am also posting a rough sketch of what these stands would look like... And again, if nothing else, I'll have proof that it was my idea first. Even if somebody else steals it...i.e. can afford to patent it before me... Which I imagine will happen before I can afford to make it happen... But one has to try...
