NEW AWARD CREATION PROCESS ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are making a change to the number of trophies we create each year. Note that this does not apply to or affect cars or trucks. This only applies to the Tractor, Motorcycle (2-wheel), Motorcycles (3-wheel), Offroad, SUV, and Survivor categories.

As an example, in the past we have had 2-3 motorcycles, side-by-sides, and even tractors at times where we have an equal amount or more trophies than vehicles in that category. We do not believe it is fair when every vehicle in a given category wins an award. Going forward, for all categories (except cars and trucks), we will start off with just one (1) trophy for each one of these other categories. At the end of the calendar year (after December 31st), we will analyze the vehicle types that have pre-registered. If any of these categories hit 5 vehicles pre-registered, we will add a second trophy for that category. If we hit 10, we will add a third trophy for that category. Based on the past shows, we are far away from 10 in each of these categories. If these areas continue to grow to 10 or more vehicles, then we will take another look at the award allocation in these categories..

We feel this change will level the playing field more, plus it eliminates the additional time and expense to produce trophies that are not handed out (I have about a dozen in my garage from past years). Of course this does make pre-registration that much more important. The more vehicles that register before December 31st will give us better data to potentially increase one or many of these categories. We have to have this analysis date in place so we know how many trophies we have to make. We appreciate your understanding.

REMINDER: We are offering a one-time $12.00 Registration Special for the 2027 show through next weekend, August 9th. This is the one and only special we are planning to run. This includes our complete VIP Package (less shirt & dash plaque). You can register now using the link below but only until 11:45pm on August 9th. We are not planning any other specials.

We also added two new vehicle types to the online registration form: Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and Survivor. We added SUV because vehicles like Jeeps and Broncos for example do not fit into the car or truck category. We also added the Survivor category which is only designed for those vehicles that are truly "all original survivors". These additions are only to the online form. If you mail in a downloaded a registration form, you will need to note it on the form only if it is a Survivor. As for SUVs, all of the pre-registrations we have received to date we have already adjusted the category and will do so for any mailed in registration forms in the future.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOLLOWING YOUR FEEDBACK ($12.00 OFFER):
Following last weekend's car show, I received a lot of questions about the holiday specials we run. The feedback received is that folks are traveling or with family during the holiday season and asked if we would consider running a special during car show season versus the holiday season. While we never guarantee a special will be run, we did listen. As a result, we are going to offer a one-time summer special to see how well it works. Here is what is what we are doing.

Between now and Sunday, August 9th at 11:45pm, we will run a two-week online summer special for our VIP Package for just $12.00. The catch to that is that you receive the full VIP Package less the shirt and dash plaque. So, if the shirt and dash plaque are not important to you, this is the deal to get in on using the link below. Do note that this is an online offer only. Due to the short period, payments must be made online and not mailed in. This is a savings up to $13.00 if you were to register on the day of the show.

If the full VIP Package including the shirt and dash plaque are important to you ($20), we only have 16 remaining, but only by using the link below. Once the final 16 are gone, they are gone!

Just be sure to use the right link based on your needs if you decide to pre-register. At this time, this is the only special we have planned for the 2027 show.

18 spots still remain for a Shirt and Dash Plaque in 2027. Once these spots sell out, these two items will no longer be available!

VEHICLE UPDATES, CHANGES, OR TRANSFERS:
For folks who plan to or who already have pre-registered for the 2027 show, we have a new process in place to share with you. If during the year you need to change the vehicle you registered, you want to transfer your registration to someone else, or you pre-registered and did not know what vehicle you were bringing at the time, you can now do all of that online.

The link below allows you to send us these types or updates or changes. If you did not provide a vehicle when you registered, you can use this process to do that once you have decided. This process will automatically close two weeks prior to the show. If you have a change in the final two weeks prior to the show, you will have to do those the day of the show in person at the time of check-in.

At the 2026 show, we had a multitude of vehicle changes that occurred at registration. As a way to help expedite last minute vehicle changes or a registration transfer, we have developed this online process to submit changes. Going forward, if you have pre-registered for the show, please submit any....

I wanted to take a few minutes to share with everyone the top feedback areas we receive comments on every year about our show after it ends. Even with these concerns, we do not plan to change these areas other than to explain here why we do what we do. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

FOOD:
Each year, we receive feedback asking for more food options, and this year was no exception. Suggestions have included tacos, Philly cheese steaks, and even shrimp. While we understand the appeal, expanding the menu is not feasible. Adding more items would make grill operations more complex and require additional volunteers, which are already difficult to secure. Like most car shows, ours is a fundraiser, so we do not allow food trucks. We tried them in the past, but they did not work well for our event, and we still received complaints about the food options. Our focus is on bringing great cars to the show and providing quality awards, not offering an extensive menu. For that reason, our grill will continue to serve burgers and hotdogs. If those options do not work for you, you are welcome to bring lunch or visit the local restaurant.

MUSIC:
Music is another common source of feedback. Some people feel we should play only 1950s music, which may have made sense 20 or more years ago when many car show attendees grew up during that era. Instead, we carefully select music from the late 1960s, 1970s, and occasionally the early 1980s, because many of our attendees grew up listening to songs from this period. Each year, we create a new music program and make every effort not to repeat songs played at the show within the past five years. We stand by our music choices and believe they fit our event well. Other shows may play a wider mix, including rap or newer hits along side classics, and that is their choice. I do not attend shows to criticize the music; I go to enjoy the cars, with the music adding to the overall atmosphere.

AWARDS:
One that still mystifies us is about our handmade trophies. Several people actual question us on why we waste our time and effort creating custom awards instead of doing what other car shows do. My answer is simple: we do not want to be like other car shows. We focus on hosting a well-organized event and providing high-quality awards for our attendees. It would be easy to give every winner a standard plastic trophy, but that is not what our show represents. As long as the show continues, we will continue making handmade trophies.

VOTING:
Participant voting vs a judged show is a very common area of feedback. I won't even address that other than to share with those that want to better understand what we do to make our participant voting the fairest you will find anywhere. Those that want to learn more can click the link below.

Our show is a participant voting show. We are well aware of the controversies of a participant voting show and a judged show. It is very hard to get great judges for a car show. At best, most are volunteers and as we've always said, if you get a hundred judges, you will get a hundred different resul...
