Brian’s 1970 Boss 302 is in to get the total package for hard core road racing. Starting out back we turned to a Street or Track Watts link set up. Some minor welding on the drivers side axle tube for a bar attachment and trimming under the car, the kit went together well! Rob installed leaf spring sliders and new shocks from QA1 to take the stock style rear suspension as far as we can go! We stripped the rear apart and installed new gaskets and axle seals and a fresh coat of semi gloss black. Onto the transmission we installed a hydraulic clutch set up from American power train which included the pedal and slave cylinder. The tuning ability of fuel injection is unmatched installing a Holley Sniper 2 seals the deal for performance and reliability which Brian wanted. Electric fans, power steering, and a race column all being installed to limit driver and engine fatigue. Cobra Automotive sent us parts to finish out a full race prep on the steering components getting rid of the rubber bushed parts to needle bearings throughout. We meticulously removed the original wiring and are preparing to finish the install on the new American Auto wire harness. This is a remarkable car that Brian has here. Glad that we have a small part in it!

One of our objectives and requests was to keep Tony’s hood from becoming a Blackstone Griddle. We drew out various shapes, tried different locations from the normal go to, the top of the hood to the side of the hood we could not settle with any of them. A combined effort between Tony and our team we designed and made these wheel tub vents. With the location being close to the radiator, shedding heat can escape. We used our Lennox, to create a recessed blank in 20g sheet metal that would end up being trimmed down and shaped to fit the wheel tub, then in turn welding those blanks in and metal working the weld seams back out. Since the trim piece was aluminum it was in our best interest when it came time to emboss the mesh to make a second set from 1/8” steel on the plasma table. They were turned into a sandwich die and then a 3/8” round die also made to stretch the mesh out flush for a much more tailored look. The mesh was all fitted and trimmed, and the fasteners hidden from the back side. The radiator cover even got its final detail around the latch!

Working on John’s cars are always a treat. Nick bead rolled up some panels to dress up the package tray then added some crater maker rings around the button head fasteners to keep the panel rigid when the screws get tightened. A little cage work was done to get the seat to lean back further by bending up some tube with a slight bend on each end. We made an aluminum head rest with some chamfered holes to give it a 60’s speed part feel! This Cyclone is ready to make some runs now!

Had the pleasure of working on Todd’s sweet ‘69 Camaro! We built a tube rad support, fan shroud, AN lines, steering crossmember and supplied us with a really nice wish bone builder’s kit. His Camaro has been apart of his family for a long time, it was really cool to see pictures of it from back in the day. Thank you Todd for trusting us with your Camaro!

Dean and Danny Benner trusted us with making improvements to their rock crawler a few times when I was just starting out which I am super great full of. And Danny can flat out drive it too! Seeing a father and son team travel and WIN major events makes it all worth while for us! After meeting Danny it was clear how much passion for the sport he has, and on top of it all how great a young man he is.

Danny was involved in a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago, he has been moved out of the ICU and is fighting hard. The Benner family are great people, please keep them and Danny in your prayers.

Here is the go fund me link, if your able. Also lots of great people have shared more photos and stories of Danny which I encourage you all to read.
