2026 Labor Rates - We will do most any repair work, except for engine changes, transmission rebuilds, and head gaskets. However, we will diagnosis these issues and refer you to a repair facility that can better serve your needs.

We will provide complete vehicle inspections at no cost. If you have a child home from college, are purchasing a used vehicle, or want a vehicle checked out before a long trip please take advantage of this opportunity!

Maintenance labor rate ($45.00/HR) - Oil changes, filter changes, tire rotations, fluid exchanges, battery replacements, bulb replacements, etc.

Diagnostic labor rate ($55.00/HR) - Check engine lights, Tire pressure monitoring systems, electrical issues, noise/vibration issues, ABS lights, etc.

Labor rate ($70.00/HR) - Brakes, suspension, steering, wheel bearings, exhaust, fluid leaks, water pumps, HVAC actuators or heating and cooling issues, oxygen sensors, tune-up, EVAP systems, timing belts, etc.

We will take fleet vehicles from local business.

How much should you be paying for a brake job and what components should be getting replaced?

There are three components that should be getting replaced with EVERY brake job.

1. Brake pads
2. Brake disc rotors
3. Hardware kit

In addition, it is extremely important that the caliper brackets are properly cleaned of rust buildup and that every moving component is lubricated and moving freely.

Brakes are always serviced by axle (meaning front or rear). Whatever is done to the driver side is repeated to the passenger side. You can replace just front brakes or rear brakes but never a single wheel or just one side.

So what should all this cost? Most cars and SUV's can have the three components replaced for $300.00 per axle including parts, labor, and tax at Rellinger Repair, LLC.

We will be offering FREE brake inspections of all four brake assemblies through March 31st with no commitment.

Do you really need to change your transmission fluid?

There are many fluids that run throughout your vehicle, but one of the most important to keep track of is the transmission fluid. Whether or not you should change it is not a matter of debate: Yes, you should as it is likely the second most expensive component to repair/replace next to the engine. But how often this service should be performed varies by manufacturer and vehicle, and it’s open to debate. Here is what the service recommendations say for the last five vehicles in the shop:

2010 Dodge Ram 60,000
2017 Hyundai Elantra 60,000
2016 Dodge Durango 60,000
2014 Chevrolet Impala 45,000
2015 Kia Optima 60,000

Cabin Air Filter - most overlooked maintenance item?

You are probably aware that your vehicle’s engine has an air filter, but did you know that your car’s HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) system may also have one?

The cabin air filter keeps dust, dirt, pollen, bacteria and exhaust gases from entering the interior the vehicle.

While there is no warning light that comes on when your cabin air filter needs changing, there are some signs that you may notice:

- reduced air flow from the vents
- musty odor in the cabin of the vehicle
- unusual whistling or louder than normal blower motor noise

This one was just a little overdue…..
