Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t the weight, it’s getting to it!

This 18,000 lb man lift found some soft ground behind a building on a job site, and with limited access, getting a conventional wrecker into position wasn’t an option.

That’s exactly where our Skid Steer and Winchbox come in. 💪 We were able to get into the tight work area, recover the machine, and make quick work of getting it back on solid ground so the crew could get back to work.

Sometimes all it takes is one wet spot. 🌧️

With all the rain we’ve been getting lately, fields, job sites, and driveways can turn into a mess in a hurry. When your truck, equipment, or machinery gets stuck where a traditional wrecker can’t reach, that’s where our specialized off-road recovery equipment shines.

We want to say thank you to Lesslie Fire - Rescue, the South Carolina Highway Patrol, and the York County Sheriff’s Department for working alongside us last night at a serious accident on Hwy. 5 near the York/Lancaster County line. We appreciate everything y’all do and we’re always thankful to work with such a great group of first responders.

Please keep the families involved in this accident, along with the person who was injured, in your prayers. We pray for healing, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, we’re reminded that the freedoms we enjoy every day came at a tremendous cost. Today we honor the men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect this great country, and we thank the first responders who continue serving our communities every day.

From all of us at Hodges Garage & Towing, thank you to our customers, friends, and neighbors for allowing us to serve Western York County for nearly 50 years. Your support means more to our family than you’ll ever know.

If you’re traveling today, please celebrate responsibly. Slow down, buckle up, don’t drink and drive, and move over for emergency vehicles working on the side of the road. Let’s all do our part to make sure everyone gets home safely.

Last Saturday, Hodges Garage & Towing had the honor of playing a small part in helping Carolina Brotherhood- Honoring The Fallen & Their Families continue its mission.

When one of their lead vehicles from Raleigh Fire Department experienced a mechanical failure, we were proud to donate our time and equipment to tow it from Clover Fire Department to Pineville Fire Department, where repairs could be be made so the team could continue their journey.

The Carolina Brotherhood Ride is far more than a ride. It is a powerful tribute honoring firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. Watching so many people come together to remember these heroes is truly inspiring.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause. Thank you to everyone involved with The Carolina Brotherhood Ride for keeping the memories of these heroes alive and ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.
It was our privilege to help keep your journey moving. Stay safe, and thank you for everything you do.

Today we had the privilege of supporting a program that plays a vital role in keeping South Carolina motorists safe.

Hodges Garage & Towing proudly donated two vehicles to the South Carolina Department of Transportation’s State Highway Emergency Program (SHEP) to be used for hands-on training. These vehicles will help SHEP operators train for real-world roadside assistance and traffic incident scenarios they encounter every day on our state’s interstates.

SHEP operators are often the first to arrive when motorists experience breakdowns, flat tires, crashes, or other roadside emergencies. Their quick response helps improve safety, reduce traffic congestion, and get travelers back on their way as quickly as possible.

As a company that works alongside emergency responders and highway assistance teams every day, we are proud to support the training that helps keep South Carolina’s roads safer for everyone.

Thank you to the dedicated SHEP operators for your service and commitment to helping motorists across our state.
