⚡ Jaguar I-PACE High-Voltage Battery Reassembly ⚡

Safety is everything when working with high-voltage electric vehicle systems.

The Jaguar I-PACE’s high-voltage battery pack consists of 36 individual batteries that collectively provide 400 volts of electric power. Each individual battery is constantly monitored for performance to help maintain maximum power, range and safety.

In this case, one of the individual batteries no longer met those standards and needed to be replaced. After the battery is safely removed from the battery case, our technicians use specialized equipment to discharge the old battery down to a safe transportation voltage.

That same machine is then used to bring the new battery up to the same voltage as the other 35 batteries in the vehicle. Once the new battery is properly matched, it becomes part of the battery pack and the I-PACE can be made ready to hit the road once again.

A detailed process that requires specialized equipment, knowledge and, above all, safety every step of the way.
