We hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Here at Midwest Overland LLC we participated in local parades and then managed to find ourselves testing out our new lift kits, tires, and programmers on some flooded and muddy level B roads in central Iowa! (The roads were all open to the public still just enter at your own risk)

Our company vehicles are riding a little higher! Gladiator and Wrangler both got a 2 inch additional lift on top of there factory 2 inch lifts! We have only had the chance to test them out around the shop but we are looking forward to our next adventure where we can really put them to the test!

Gladiator went with a extra heavy load coil spring kit from Ironman 4x4 to take the extra weight from all the overland and offroad equipment as well as handle our trailer weight, backed with Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Preformance shocks for a smooth ride on road and off!

Wrangler went with medium load springs from Ironman 4x4 and are paired Skyjaker Black MAX shocks for ultimate shock absorption on the trails!

The Gladiator is now sitting on 35x11.5 r17 Falken Wildpeak R/T and the Wrangler is on 33x11 r17 Falken Wildpeak M/T!

Long unexpected eventful days 6-13 of Florida trip update! Unexpected events included recovery time, breakdowns, and hospital visits!

-We spent day 6 in Ocala National Forest again! During day 6 we started having fuel pump communication issues on the Gladiator but wasn't limiting driveabilty at that point. We had a great day and the weather was perfect!

-Day 7, we had Travel Adventures by Karen tag along and spent some time in Richloam Wildlife Management Area and Croom Wildlife Management Area getting some exciting close ups with some Gators and other amazing Florida Wildlife. Mid morning we ended up having our only major recovery of the trip. In Richloam we did 11-12 muddy water crossings before we found one with an unexpected tree and sink hole under the water! Our 7,000lb + Gladiator got hung up in deep enough water that there was water in the bed when it got stuck! We didn't get any pictures as the team immediately went into recovery mode! Luckily no damage was taken, and with a few good tugs from the winches and Wrangler we managed to free the truck from the swamps grip! Later as the day went on the Wrangler started to have throttle position sensor issues and the Gladiators fuel pump communication issues continued. Even tho we had hiccups that day we all had a blast and we're greatful for the time with our guest! Even if you don't like offroading side of overlanding Richloam in particular has some neat scenery and wildlife accessible by any vehicle, we also recommend checking out Richloam General Store for some neat local products and rich history of the area!

-Days 8-10 we spent some down time around more people then nature as we made some repairs. We also did a beach day at Cape Canaveral on the 9th which was the start of what ended up cutting our trip short. While the whole crew did use sunscreen everyone ended up sun fried! Dylan, our primary Gladiator operator, ended up doing 2 trips to the ER and is still currently being treated for 2nd degree burns on 100% of skin from waist to neck from severe sun poisoning! This made for our trip home to be 2 days shorter and a little more on the beaten path then we had planned!

-Day 11 we started to make the slow trip home while still making some neat stops! We started the day by driving the iconic New Smyrna Beach and the A1A costal byway up the Atlantic coast of Florida, making stops at local restaurants and took a Ferry across the St John's River!

-Day 12 we spent some time in Georgia and ran Charlies Creek Crossing trail in Nantahala National Forest. It a was a long travel day but we had a blast driving through Georgia and Southern Tennessees beautiful backroads!

-Day 13 we found ourselves back at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area and Turkey Bay OHV area and had a great time driving the coast of Kentucky Lake!

Tho we had unforseen issues and alot less time in nature then we intended we still had a blast! With 3,800+ miles and 97 hours of driving these last 13 days won't be a trip any of us soon forget!

Florida trip day 5- We spent some time in Ocala National Forest today! Earning our Jeep Badge of honor for the Wrangler and throwing some new scratches on the Gladiator! Hoping the next 2 days here are as good as this one was!

Florida trip day 4- we spent some time following the Gulf of Mexico on the Florida Adventure trail! Hurricane damage made navigating trails a challenge! Weather looks rough for day 5 but we're excited to move over Ocala National Forest!

Florida trip day 3- We had a blast at Tates Hell State Forest! The water crossings and vast forest made for a day we won't soon forget! We made tonights camp at a local campground next to a waterway just off the Gulf of Mexico that offered an amazing sunset veiw!

Day 2 of our Florida trip was another highway travel day with not many pictures other then our small detour to see some amazing animals at Alabama Safari Park! We strongly recommend checking them out if you're ever in the area! We're ready for day 3 and trading the highway for some of Florida's sand trails!
