🚨 PLEASE READ AND SHARE! DON’T GET OVERCHARGED FOR A TOW! 🚨

I want to make our community aware of something that has been happening far too often.

If you need a tow, please DO NOT pay upfront! Tell the company you will pay when the service has been completed.

There is a sponsored towing company that shows up on Google before Gary’s Towing. This company is basically a call center that charges customers outrageous prices and then calls local towing companies like ours to actually perform the service.

Just yesterday, we received a call about someone who paid $175 for a 3-mile tow right here in Clinton! The vehicle never even left city limits!

Let me put that into perspective. At Gary’s Towing, we charge a flat rate of $65 for small cars being towed within Clinton city limits.

That’s a $110 difference!

What really bothers me is that people in our community are being taken advantage of when they’re already dealing with a stressful situation. And the worst part? When customers try calling these companies back, they can’t get anyone to answer the phone.

Every time I come across one of these situations, I report it to Google. Unfortunately, they continue to show up as sponsored listings above legitimate local businesses.

Please remember: Just because a company shows up first on Google does NOT mean they are local!

Before agreeing to a tow, ask who is actually coming to get your vehicle, what the total cost will be, and whether you’re speaking directly with the towing company.

I don’t care if you call Gary’s Towing or another local towing company. What I care about is making sure our community isn’t being taken advantage of.

We work hard for our money, and nobody deserves to be ripped off when they need help.

PLEASE SHARE THIS! If it saves even one person from paying hundreds of dollars unnecessarily, it’s worth it.

Today, the Clinton Police Department honors and remembers Officer Gary Michael on the anniversary of his End of Watch, August 6, 2017.

Though the years have passed, his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our community will never be forgotten. His legacy continues to live on in those who wear the badge and in the community he faithfully served.

• Online Forms Open: Oct 1st @ 10 AM
• Online Forms Close: Oct 30th @ 10 AM
• Parent/Guardian Pickup: Dec 16th @ 10 AM – 6:30 PM

🔴 ANGEL TREE ADOPTION & SHOPPING
• Angels On Trees: Nov 20th
• Angels Due Back: by or before Dec 4th @ 6:30pm

🔴 ANNUAL COAT DRIVE
• Runs: Sept 1st, 2026 through Late Feb / Early March 2027

Alex has been safely located.

We would like to thank the family, citizens, dispatchers, deputies, and first responders who assisted by sharing information, making calls, and helping bring this situation to a safe resolution.

As always, we appreciate the community’s willingness to look out for one another.

***** left his residence at approximately 11:00 a.m. today in the **** and has not returned.

If you have information regarding his whereabouts or have seen him, please contact Central Dispatch immediately at 660-885-5587.

Mental health is incredibly important, and the news of losing another officer breaks our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family, friends, and fellow officers during this difficult time. We must continue to support those who serve our communities and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💙🖤

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a time to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we spend time with family, attend cookouts, or enjoy the sunshine, let’s also take a moment to honor those who never made it home and the families who carry that sacrifice forever.

I’m grateful for the service and sacrifice of our veterans, active military, and especially those we remember today.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
