Vehicle towed in for a start-and-stall condition.

During diagnostics we found a Mechanical failure of the engine vacuum pump was leaking oil profusely. After further inspection, the failed vacuum pump severely impacted the exhaust camshaft. This mechanical impact sheared/shifted the camshaft tone ring completely out of position. This resulting impact and timing disruption caused extensive damage to the engine timing components.

After replacing the timing components and vacuum pump we preformed an engine flush, relearned cam crank correlation and cleared the codes, the vehicle is running 100% again.

Another happy customer and another saved engine.
