Not everything belongs in your recycling bin. Some items are tricky and can cause more harm than good at the recycling center.

🚫 Common “Wishcycled” Items:
• Plastic bags or film
• Styrofoam
• Hoses and wires (aka “tanglers”)
• Napkins and paper towels
• Snack wrappers or chip bags

Just because it seems recyclable, doesn’t mean it is.

Before tossing cardboard boxes in your recycling cart, flatten them completely. It saves space and helps your recycling get picked up without any issues.

Don’t forget to take out packing materials like plastic or foam—they typically belong in the trash.
