The weather fraudcasters have been at it all week with the doom and gloom rain weekend but once again at the last minute the weather improves greatly.
Looking at the radar it just shows a small pop up here or there and not a large percentage so we are going to race tonight. Just because it’s raining where you’re at doesn’t mean it’s raining at the track.
*Saturday is trending better on all the weather fraudcaster sites and looks like the only rain we will see is after 11pm* and stopping by 4/5am Sunday morning leading into a very pleasant Sunday for AutoCross and RallyCross.

Attention in the pits:
We are doing some spring cleaning at the track. We have 65 barrels of used racing oil available for free to anyone that heats their shop in the winter with oil.
We also have @250 empty barrels which are ideal for turning into burn barrels for only 10 dollars a barrel.
They are available for pick up during the week from 9am to 4pm. During the week means during the week 9am to 4pm. Please understand nothing is available during race hours. Everyone during a race is working on the race.

With everything that’s going on with the racetrack we want to make the 7th annual Dick Weinle Memorial one for the ages.
Yesterday we were approached with an incredible idea of having a Shootout of all Shootouts, a Champion of all Champions race, a King of the Track of all the King of the Track’s race.
We want to invite all the previous Edgewater Track Champions and Summit Bracket Final Champions to come out and Race to celebrate Dick Weinle’s legacy and the legacy of Edgewater Sports Park.
Champions, let us know if you like this idea, would like to race and what details would you like to see implemented into the race?
The Dick Weinle Memorial is August 29th & 30th. Dust off that race car, change the oil and fire that baby up. We’re gonna make history.
Preliminary thoughts are to have a box, no box, motorcycle and for Juniors having a street car race with licensed, insured and plated 14.0 and slower street tire cars.
*Also, we will be looking for sponsors to help fund some of the race entry fees so that they are not a deciding issue for racers that haven’t participated for years.*
