Vacuum leak turned into fabricating an intake plenum plate. That turned into replacing a leaking timing chain cover during which I found a loose timing chain and replaced it as well.

In the automotive field, just like any other, things sometimes don’t go the way you plan. No one ever wants to do the same job twice but it happens. One injector was stuck open but all came back as good when cleaned and flow tested. I should have went with my gut and just replaced it. Unfortunately I had to do that after installing them all and it ran for about 15min before acting up again. This is part of being a mechanic. Sometimes repairs aren’t as straightforward as we’d like. Being open, honest and sticking with your word is one of the keys to keeping happy customers.
