Good morning folks. It’s been a while. Busy busy, always working.
Lately we have had some misunderstandings with customers on the account of painting. Painting a car is a very tricky business for those who can handle it and who know how to use a paint gun and will not paint your car with a primer gun that in its turn will leavve orange peel all over the painted area. Besides, paint is very expensive depending on the shimmer, gloss, etc.
Here is the thing. Much like with any paint or even nail polish, car paint does not like cold and/or humidity. Cold weather makes the paint act differently (it does not cure properly.) As a result you might receive bubbles, cracks, or it might simply peel off in certain spots that were colder than others.
It is doable, however. If we paint in the winter, we always have to heat the paint booth and heat the vehicle to match the specified temperature on the can, and still sometimes ..it happens.
Rain is another enemy of painting. When it rains, you simply cannot clear coat the car because the clear coat becomes foggy and ruins the paint job.
Please consider these guidelines when you bring a car in for a repaint. If the car is brought in for body work and a blizzard occurs, you know it will push the paint job. We will not paint in such conditions that will ruin the paint simply because one needs his or her car sooner. It wastes paint and new paint costs a bunch of money. Most likely that money has to come out of our pocket just so that one can see that we were right from the beginning.
It is very simple to understand but one has to be willing to accept the facts.
We hope all you wonderful people have a wonderful weekend 🙏🏻☀️
