We would also like to mention, in addition to our last post, the tire machine we purchased is a fully touchless system. Absolutely nothing touches the wheel during the procedure so there is no risk of damaged wheels. This machine also has the capability to handle very low profile side walls and run flat tires for those high end vehicles.

Here at Luna's, we occasionally like to showcase some of the more specialized repairs and services we offer. In this instance, this customer came to us with a severe head gasket leak in their 2014 generation 3 Toyota Prius. Instead of attempting to repair an engine with underlying issues, the customer opted to have us replace the engine with a low mileage generation 4 engine from a 2017 Prius in order to completely eliminate the known head gasket and piston ring/oil consumption issues that are associated with the third generation units. We are one of the few repair shops in the area that offer this option.

This customer brought us his 2010 Chevy Impala with drivability issues. The vehicle was stuck in reduced power mode and with the engine occasionally sputtering and nearly stalling. We pulled up trouble codes and noticed an issue with the engine control module's 5 volt reference circuit. One of the components that uses the 5 volt reference is the secondary air injection check valve. While inspecting the check valve we discovered water intrusion into the wiring harness connector cavity due to the weather seal not seated correctly. The water in the cavity was shorting out the pins for the 5 volt reference circuit. We dried the cavity, cleaned the corrosion from the pins, reseated the seal and added dielectric grease for added moisture protection. That restored the circuit's operation and got the vehicle running and driving correctly again. With our diagnostic process we were able to save the customer from any unnecessary component replacements and expensive repair bills. Does your vehicle have electrical issues or drivability problems?
