TGIF. It's Friday..... today, I thought I'd share my *10 Nuggets for Everyday Living* These nuggets have been part of my *personal growth* journey. Hope it's a blessing to you..

1. *Prepare* daily for *future opportunities*. *Success = Preparation + Opportunity*

2. Always bring value to the table. You don't get paid for *showing up*. You get paid for the *value you bring to the table*.

3. Always work with *integrity*. The real you (character) is when no one is looking.

4. When you Excel in *small things*, you are bound to be promoted for the *Big Things* because excellence becomes a part of you.

5. In the race of LIFE, Excellence has no *finished line*. You can not rest on yesterday's achievements. You must continually to beat your yesterdays.

6. When you search for and want more in life, you get what you want. If you ask for the small portions (crumbs), that's what you get too.

7. The is not achieved by casual inquirers. It is achieved by and preserved for *careful, intelligent, wise investigators and researchers who Visualise it!*

8. Don't just acquire knowledge. apply the knowledge for *maximum impact.*

9. Find your *Voice*, then help others to find their "Voice." Don't just be *successful*, but let your success transform other lives. Move from *Success to Significance!*

10. Life's a short moment. Stop waiting for the perfect time to start. *The settime is now.*

The Cockroach Theory

The cockroach theory for self-development

At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.

She started screaming out of fear.

With a panic-stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.

Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.

In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behaviour of the cockroach on his shirt.

When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behaviour?

If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?

He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.

It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.

Lessons learnt from the story:

I understood I should not react in life.

I should always respond.

The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.

A beautiful way to understand

LIFE.

The HAPPY person is not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life.

He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right!

A man was asked to paint a boat. He brought his paint and brushes and began to paint the boat a bright red, as the owner asked him.

While painting, he noticed a small hole in the hull, and quietly repaired it.

When he finished painting, he received his money and left.

The next day, the owner of the boat came to the painter and presented him with a nice check, much higher than the payment for painting.

The painter was surprised and said “You've already paid me for painting the boat Sir!”

“But this is not for the paint job. It's for repairing the hole in the boat.”

“Ah! But it was such a small service... certainly it's not worth paying me such a high amount for something so insignificant.”

“My dear friend, you do not understand. Let me tell you what happened:

“When I asked you to paint the boat, I forgot to mention the hole.

“When the boat dried, my kids took the boat and went on a fishing trip.

“They did not know that there was a hole. I was not at home at that time.

“When I returned and noticed they had taken the boat, I was desperate because I remembered that the boat had a hole.

“Imagine my relief and joy when I saw them returning from fishing.

“Then, I examined the boat and found that you had repaired the hole!

“You see, now, what you did? You saved the life of my children! I do not have enough money to pay your 'small' good deed.”

So no matter who, when or how, continue to help, sustain, wipe tears, listen attentively, and carefully repair all the 'leaks' you find. You never know when one is in need of us, or when God holds a pleasant surprise for us to be helpful and important to someone.

Along the way, you may have repaired numerous 'boat holes' for several people without realizing how many lives you've save. ❤️

A man established a zoo and made the entrance fee 300$ but no one went there. He reduced it to 200$ but still no one came.
He then reduced the fee to 10$ but still people didn't come.
Finally, he made it FREE entrance and soon, the zoo was filled with people. Then he quietly locked the gate of the zoo, set the lions free and made the exit fee 500$ and everyone paid!

: As you go about in life, beware of cheap or free offers, they can be terrible.

No business is free, my friends!
