Team Rediscovered, representing Evolution Sails, topped a 29 boat fleet at the 64th Annual Old Goat Regatta. Greg Griffin and son Gunnison Griffin, sailing with Mark Reddaway proved resilient in the light and shifty winds on Lake Lanier.
Team Rediscovered leaned on their boatspeed and teamwork to recover from difficult spots including rounding the weather mark race 4 in 24th. They battled back to 7th that race which proved vital to securing victory. Consistency was the key and they were the only boat to avoid a double digit finish in the challenging conditions. Brad Russell and Joe Hart led by 2 going into the last race, but a 13 dropped them back to 3rd behind Bryce Dryden and Mark Buchnan. Van, Kathaleen and Jack Roers finished strong on Sunday to move up to 4th.
Evolution Sails customers finished 1, 3, 4, 7(partial inventory), 10 in the very competitive fleet. Congrats to all!
