Drove the shop car to lunch today, street car?

Just a small update for this week, got a nice white one in for engine issues after a shop up north built the engine last year.

Red neon in for fuel pump change.

Was on vacation for about a week. Before that had

Blue srt-4 with engine issues due to a bad tune so engine was rebuilt by me and taken to Nigel Alexander for a tune

Red neon in with locked up engine, sold him a built engine I had here in house that I went through and put it in his car got it ready for Nigel to retune

Red neon I had in here that was all stock we pulled engine and trans, resealed engine, new timing, new clutch kit and just an overall refresh on the car. Full fuel system, turbo kit.

In the next week or so I’ll give yall a brief multi car update on what’s been going on in total for the past few months. I’ve been slammed over here. Over 10 major engine jobs in the past few months this is just a few of them.

Got the shop car looking right and ready for the track last weekend on some downtime. Now time to jam on another orange blast build that was dropped off!

Y’all come check me out. Put this one together last year for a customer from a bare shell, just made another 1/4 mile pass going 10.22 at 140mph with no issues. Maintenance or full builds, we got you covered.

What’s going on guys? Hope everyone had a great weekend. Haven’t posted in awhile due to being super slammed here at benson built, but would like to show one I finished up about a week ago.

This car was dropped off at a VERY well known srt4 shop in NC due to it having issues getting stuck in gear when hot. The car was tore apart immediately with a new act clutch kit thrown at it.

Upon pickup of this car, customer was having the same issues about 20 minutes up the street. So I had him tow the car to me.

After spending over 2000$ at another shop from misdiagnosis, and 100$s in tow bills the car arrived at my shop.

Upon arrival as soon as I fired the car up I could hear abnormal noise coming from the gearset, so I drained the fluid to find a lot of metal shavings and plastic pieces from a bad needle bearing.

The 5th gear needle bearing had gone bad and 5th gear had locked itself to the output shaft, car also had a 3rd gear grind.

Upon tear down, 5th gear output and input gears were bad, 3/4 synchronizer was worn out along with the 3/4 fork, and the 3rd gear engagement teeth were rounded off, output shaft bearing surface was gouged and scarred really bad.

Replaced all parts and car is back on the road. Listen guys, DONT HESITATE TO BRING YOUR CAR TO ME.

I can do anything from full transmission in house rebuilds, to fully built 800+hp engine builds.

Had 3 come in this week with transmission issues, got one tore down on the table to find out the 3/4 snap ring broke causing 4th gear to walk on the shaft. This then causes the 4th gear roller bearing to wear out prematurely and catastrophic failure to the input shaft.

Finished up a full motor swap with new gaskets and a mopar stage 3 install for a customer a couple weeks ago. Few pictures from that build.
