Rescue job on a 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE
This owner tried removing old, failing PPF from the hood with an electric sander. I understand the impulse, since failing film is stubborn, but it left deep gouges and a faded, hazy hood.
Here's how I brought it back:
✅ Hood wet sanded at 1500 → 2000 → 3000 grit, then compounded and polished
✅ Rest of the paint and glass polished with a medium-cut compound to restore clarity and gloss
✅ Paint, trim and wheels coated with CCI Revolution (6+ years)
✅ Glass coated with CCI Glass (2–3 years)
I'll be honest: it's not perfect. Some of that damage went deep. But the gloss and clarity are back, and this RAV4 is now protected for years to come. That's The Owner's Touch: I tell you what's realistic, then I do every step myself.
