The Transfer Station is honored to announce the installation of a new incinerator, funded by the State Composting Grant. We encourage the community to suggest a name for this equipment by commenting below. This machine will play a vital role in serving our county and neighboring areas, with two primary functions. It will facilitate the incineration of small animals, thereby reducing landfill waste, and support law enforcement agencies and the jail in the proper disposal of seized drugs.

Powell County Transfer Station had another successful year in State Grants bringing in $96,165.00 in Recycling Grant and $43,874.00 in Composting Grant.
