Interesting fact!
Did you know catalytic converters are highly stolen because they contain precious metals, including rhodium, platinum, and palladium.
Although the quantities vary by model, on average, a standard catalytic converter contains about 3-7 grams of platinum, 2-7 grams of palladium, 1-2 grams rhodium.

The primary use of these elements in the catalytic converter is changing harmful unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxide exhaust emissions into less noxious gases.
It’s been said that by painting your catalytic converter red with high temperature paint this will deter thieves from stealing yours due to metal brokers will less likely buy those painted because they will be more than likely stolen and police are cracking down harder on these type of crimes.

The staff was great at Tim Short as they have a friendly no pressure atmosphere and are willing to work on your behalf. We drove from Bowling Green KY area to look at one certain car that we seen online, they had it washed up and ready to test drive when we got there. After dealing with the high pressured salesman and managers in Bowling Green and telling them “no” multiple times to a vehicle that turned out to be wrecked after asking for the carfax. Working with the sales team here was a walk in the park! Sales associate, Mike Churn, was excellent with answering all of my questions and working for ME! He was very personable, straightforward, and time saving. The manager was very accommodating and helpful the finance staff was organized and on point. The woman in back who worked the register was very friendly. The first woman I ever spoke to, Morgan, from the internet dept who answered the phone and handed us off to Mike Churn was very friendly and sent the carfax over and answered any questions I had before I got there. Just an over all great car buying experience! The whole Tim Short team in Clarksville TN turned my car buying experience into a good one! Thank you all! 😊
