The one bolt you see that is removed was the only one with any sides to bite on to remove from this terribly rusted and previously rounded out wheel hub spindle on a 2004 Chevrolet 1500 ext. Cab 4x4..

No amount of penetrating oil, heat, shocking, six point, twelve point, reverse bite sockets or reverse bite wrench bits was able to make any sort of headway on removing them as they were just beyond ability to remove.

Severely rusted and soft bolts like these pictured require the next step and that is actually cutting the bolt head off and drilling them out.

Luckily the knuckle these pass through is non threaded so just match up the drill bit to bolt thickness and chew it out.

On knuckles or parts of the powertrain that are threaded I would only drill out the center portion carefully and use reverse thread extractors to remove them, and if those aren't successful then drilling out all bolt material and re tapping the threads into the recieving metal with a Tap & Die kit will get everything back to ship shape and ready to bolt in your hub assembly or whatever it is you're working on.

Thanks everyone for your support and word of mouth advertising and referrals to friends, family and others in need of a good mobile mechanic! Bless you all and have a safe and wonderful day!

Removed and replaced a complete pressure loss Power Steering Pump & Reservoir (Fluid container) for a very VERY nice 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT w/ the 5.7L V8 HEMI.

Vehicle is lifted on a 4" full strut/spring package as well as some FIRE looking 20" tall/12" wide off road bead locker rims with nice 40" mud grips. The pump lost all pressure during a turn and with the mods made it impossible to even try to drive without it as steering was entirely too hard to do without hydraulic assist.
Also fixed the slow leak from the high pressure line that feeds into the steering rack as well as put on a new serpentine tensioner because I could relieve all pressure by hand and remove the serpentine without any tools at all.

Unfortunately his pulley was too old and brittle to be able to swap over so picking up a new $30 pulley today at first light and getting Mr. Jameson back to business and off road fun!!

Worked until 3 AM CST on this vehicle to get it ready to go by 7:30 AM for my customer. Time/Late night work is no problem for us, if you need it done ASAP we will GET IT DONE SON!

What a busy day... diagnostic, repair, emergency road side assistance call, and a car on fire on the interstate. Been very very eventful. So glad we could Help Mr. Tay with diagnostic and repair and Mr. Jameson with the road side assistance.... Diagnostic and repair. We care about the people in our community and surrounding areas. Went to get a part for scheduled customer, and stopped to help with roadside on the way to do scheduled repair. Give me, Tasha a call if you need help, we will do our best to get you back on the road!!! 9312065624

06/12/2020

Sway bar end links/Stabilizer bar end links can be a major component in your alignment angle/camber and can cause some very rough riding as well as steering.

This particular vehicle had the end link almost bent into a V by just grazing a curb at low speeds for maybe a second or two to avoid another car and it is causing the steering to pull very hard one way as well as aggressive steering wheel pull when loose grip and is chewing through tires like they're candy bars.

If you need your vehicle looked at there's no better time than now my friends as these things can go from annoying to very dangerous in a split second. Be safe and enjoy the well deserved weekend everyone!!
