🔧 There’s more to a quality collision repair than just the shiny paint job you see on the outside!

New replacement panels — including panels that are sectioned or welded into the vehicle — often come from the factory with E-coat only.

When you get your vehicle back, you’d probably assume the backside of those panels has been properly refinished and protected to match the factory repair standards. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case.

Some shops take the approach of, “If you can’t see it, it doesn’t matter.”

That’s not how we do things at 603 Metalworks & Collision.

We take pride in the entire repair, from start to finish — including the areas you may never see. That means properly restoring corrosion protection, coatings, and the correct E-coat appearance wherever required.

This happens every single day in the collision repair industry, especially when dealing with many of the large insurance companies.

We constantly hear customers ask:

Today’s collision repairs are more complex than ever, but the repair itself isn’t always what causes the delays. Shops can spend significant time documenting damage, submitting supplements, providing OEM repair procedures, waiting for approvals, negotiating necessary repair operations, and getting authorization for parts and procedures needed to properly repair your vehicle.

Meanwhile, your vehicle sits—and you’re the one waiting.

Insurance companies and repair facilities have different roles in the claims process. Our responsibility as a collision repair facility is to advocate for a safe and proper repair based on manufacturer procedures—not simply the cheapest repair possible.

As a consumer, stay involved in your claim. Ask questions. Know your rights. And remember: you have the right to choose the repair facility you trust.

🚘 BEFORE & AFTER — 2021 VOLVO XC40 🚘

Nothing is more frustrating than having your vehicle damaged while it’s simply parked.

This customer’s 2021 Volvo XC40 suffered heavy rear-end damage while parked, and the claim was being handled through the other party’s insurance company. What should have been straightforward quickly became stressful when the insurance company wanted to total the vehicle based on a value that was far too low.

We helped guide our customer through the process, challenged the valuation, and ultimately the insurance company acknowledged that this Volvo was worth significantly more than their original figure.

From there, we got to work. 🔧

🦌 BEFORE & AFTER — 2025 Toyota RAV4! 🔧✨

This 2025 Toyota RAV4 came to us after an unfortunate encounter with a deer, leaving it with significant front-end damage.

Our team completed the repairs following Toyota OEM repair procedures to make sure everything was repaired properly—not just made to look good.

🚙 BEFORE ➡️ AFTER | 2022 Toyota Highlander

Another one back on the road and looking like new! 🔥

This 2022 Toyota Highlander came to us needing quite a bit of attention. After dealing with a difficult insurance company and making sure the repair was handled the right way, we got it back where it belongs!

✅ Collision repairs completed

Collision repair is about a lot more than making a vehicle look good again. Today’s vehicles have advanced safety systems that require the correct repairs and calibrations to make sure everything functions as designed.

Small collision doesn’t always mean a small repair! 🚗🔧

At first glance, damage to the front of a vehicle may look like it only needs a bumper, headlight, or a few exterior parts replaced. But once we begin the teardown, the real story can be underneath.

These vehicles are a perfect example. With the exterior components removed, we can properly inspect the radiator/core support, mounting points, cooling system, wiring, brackets, structural components and everything else hidden behind the bumper.

Collision energy has to go somewhere. A bumper cover may flex back and look relatively normal while the components behind it have been pushed, twisted, cracked or shifted. Many components are made from plastic and with a small collision there could be much more damage causing the vehicle to not run or operate properly.

That’s why at 603 Metalworks & Collision, we don’t just repair what you can see. Proper disassembly and a complete damage analysis allow us to identify hidden damage and determine what is actually required to return the vehicle to its pre-accident condition.

The estimate before teardown is only the beginning.

Sometimes what looks like a “small hit” from the outside tells a completely different story once you get underneath! 🔍

As a small family-owned business, we believe it’s important to spend time with family and recharge. With that being said, our shop will be closed June 29th through July 3rd as we celebrate Independence Day week for our shop shutdown.
