Lake Mitchell , gatherings of note , not to be forgotten.
There have been some great partying done on Lake Mitchell over the years . The Halloween Party at the Marina is getting better and better each year . Music , costumes and Friendship abound . Mr. Danny as a scary Uncle Fester singing his heart out was one of my favorite characters , the Popeye the Sailor costume won the prize but the extremely seductive Olive Oyl tilted the votes in his favor . This party has the potential to become one of the greats .
In the early 70’s and 80’s a lot was going on Woodstock was followed by events on Mitchell , The Ski Club had some great times , Midnight Ski parties , N**e Dude Barefooter’s under a full moon . First to Ski , New Years runs , Littleton’ ice cream events , Speaks Lake gatherings, Sibley’s First Drink , the Bond’s Game room , Jimmy’s Hide out . All memorable great times .
Out of control , all out partying greats ,would have to be the Thunder on the Mountain TeePee party and Spencer Randle’s Woodstock on Cargile events . Both Lasted all night and unknown numbers of people attended and will never forget . My memories are clear …. up to a point .
