Heat matters more than people expect until their first cold night on the road. We only install US-based Espar bunk heaters, never the UK-sourced versions, because the cable harness and diagnostics are different and US units can be serviced at Espar facilities nationwide.

Heater sits under the passenger seat, thermostat controller lives right on your switch plate up front.

The lower wall is where your build meets your storage, so it has to work hard.

HexPly or finished bamboo, built to install cleanly with our lower cabinetry and open-back bench cabinets so you get a finished wall and easy access to the mounting system behind it.

It's one of the fastest ways to make a van feel finished top to bottom.

This is the section that decides how much room you actually have to sleep side to side. Inset panels push the walls out just enough to make a real difference, and they come with window cutouts and trim rings if you want glass here too.

Choose bamboo or fabric, including our standard gray heather. We keep the factory wire chase in place on the driver's side (partly for warranty, partly because it's the easiest path to run wiring front to back).

This is the ceiling that ties the whole interior together.

Quarter-inch bamboo, finished in Osmo Polyx hard-wax oil, which means almost zero outgassing even when the van sits in the sun all day (it's the same finish used on baby toys).

It fits between our Smooth Rail Mounting System, shimmed a quarter inch off the ceiling, and it stays fully serviceable. You can pull a panel down to get behind it without tearing apart the whole rail system.

Available in bamboo or fabric wrap, with optional ceiling lights.

Before we touch anything else, we insulate. It's easy to underestimate how much this changes a van until you drive one that hasn't been done yet, you genuinely can't hold a conversation at highway speed.

We adhere insulation directly to the sheet metal to cut down on thermal transfer, then add Rattle Trap sound deadening on the key panels that cause the most noise (not the whole van, just the areas that actually matter for the drum effect).

Thinsulate gets packed into every pocket we can reach, plus behind the headliner on both Sprinter and Transit builds. Thermal comfort and quiet, handled at the same time.

How much power do you actually need in your van?

At Roost, we take a simple approach: right-size your system for how you actually travel, and don't spend more than you need to.

Check out our newest YouTube video where we dive deep into this topic!

Built for the way the owner actually lives.

This 148 mid-roof Transit got a core build with a two-panel bed system, custom work surface, full kitchen with a Dometic fridge, burner and sink combo, hidden kick-plate drawers, and a Lagun table off the B-pillar with a swivel seat.

Every detail was designed around her specific needs, using standard Roost Products. Including our FU-Kit bed with a work surface that adjusts height to clear bikes and gear underneath.

So you bought a van… now what?

If your plan is to start screwing things into sheet metal and hope it works out… pause.

There’s a better way.

At Roost Vans, everything starts with a Core Build:
A structural Smooth Rail Mounting System tied into the chassis
Pre-wired electrical with commonly positioned wiring points
Insulation, windows, and venting done right
Paneling throughout: walls, ceiling, and floor

Basically, we turn your empty van into a quiet, solid, ready-to-build space, like framing a house before you move in.

From there, everything installs clean, secure, and modular.

If you don’t know where to start… start here.
