This was an odd one.

This customer had a low power issue after replacing the engine air filter on their machine. We found a new fuel filter in the packaging stuck in the air intake. Someone had put the fuel filter inside the air filter for shipping and it didn't get noticed when the air filter was installed in the machine, so it got sucked into the intake pipe. Luckily the mass airflow sensor stopped it from going into the turbo.

The high pressure fuel pump on this Caterpillar 299D3 skid steer started coming apart internally, causing some of the gears to break and sending metal to the injectors.

After replacing the fuel injectors, idler gears, and high pressure fuel pump, we had it up and running again.

We installed ARP head studs, Hamilton Cams 103 lb valve springs, Hamilton Cams 12mm push rods, and a Fleece Performance coolant bypass kit on this customers 5.9 Cummins.
