Zakira's Garage Zakiras Garage specializes in collector and enthusiast car maintenance, repair and rejuvenation.

Our business was started to work on a private collection but over the past two decades our work has changed to primarily motorcars for regular clientele. The core of our work lies in restoration but requests for regular maintenance has developed a service side of the business as well. Our racing heritage is an important aspect of what we do, ranging from engine dynamometer testing to full motorcar development.

We’re out at the Bellefontaine Hill Climb right now and it’s a good one. Pausing to share a few quick unedited pics from the paddock while the next group sets up.

We’ve been volunteering at this one 7 out of its 8 year revival. British classics, hot rods, vintage racers even a few wild cards all taking their run up the hill one at a time.

The good stuff’s still coming. We’re putting a special feature video together, so keep an eye out in a couple weeks.

Join us for another Cars & Coffee on Saturday, July 18, in the back lot at Zakira's Garage. 9 AM to 11 AM. If it rains we might duck in the garage briefly.

Enjoy coffee from Higher Gravity at Summit Park (while it lasts). Unfortunately, no shop tours this time. Past that, it's a slow morning of good cars and easy conversation.

Bring whatever you're driving. All makes and models are welcome, as is anyone who loves this stuff. BYOC (bring your own chair).

1984 Volkswagen Scirocco wearing a period-correct Kamei X1 body kit.

This Mk2 stopped by Zakira’s Garage for some of the usual Scirocco needs and a full once-over before driving season kicks off. Keeping these analog-era, CIS German classics sorted out and on the road is something we enjoy doing. Cars like this are getting harder to find—especially ones that still capture the spirit of the era so well.

We test fitted and verified headlight function on our 1974 Lamborghini Countach LP400 project this week. It might not be the most glamorous part of a restoration, but confirming everything works before paint and final assembly prevents a lot of disassembly and possibly scratching a fresh paint job.
