1985 OEM Kawasaki Tecate-3 rear shock rebuild and restoration done here in house. There is a huge difference between this type of work and a basic shock rebuild. ORI comprehensive rear shock rebuild kit used plus additional parts. This one got a new OEM "lower" bushing which is very hard to change. As good as it gets without re zinc plating hardware.

We have some interest in another special order run of Tecate-4 rear fenders in white. It's been a few years since the last run. There are 3 fenders left to special order. We can maintain the same pre-order price we did in 2023 but shipping is going to suck as UPS oversized rates have gone up. Pre-order price is $355 a fender plus shipping. Shipping price does not increase if you are ordering more than 1 fender. If there's any white rears left for stock they will be a higher price. We sometimes sit on 1 or 2 special order colors for 2-3 years before they sell. This pre-order option expires June 10th.

Parts update: We are doing a single run of ORI 87 Tecate-3 OEM replica front brake lines. These will look at close to OEM as possible with all the appropriate line sleeving and will include the rubber banjo boot and OEM black flanged banjo bolts w/ sealing washers. There are 12 left available on the run and these will not be a stocked part. We will have ordering info on the website shortly. Eta 1.5 months, cost 149.99 ea. These are super unique and only fit the 87 tecate 3 wheeler.

Picture shown is our 86 replica brake line - hardware shown is outdated. We don't have photos of the new line yet.

We are doing another run of the Triz headlight assemblies. Anyone that pre-orders a unit will get the website pricing from 4 years ago. Everything has gone up and these units are very labor intensive to create.

We are currently making Yellow, Black and White units. The black and white units are a limited color run and will run out of stock quickly. Only (3) black units and (4) white units are currently available. Yellow will be a stocked color. Red and Dark Blue units are still in stock but Dark Blue is almost sold out and will not be re-ordered anytime soon.

We are also working on a modified assembly that will allow you to use the original factory headlights in our new shell to save some money. This is complicated and is currently being tested. Once this option is available these units will only be compatible with factory style headlights.

Use the website to order and someone will reach out to you like usual. We will be slow answering questions on this post. (See out last post on what's going on here).

Hey guys, sorry it's been a little quiet here. I have been dealing with family health issues, family pet health issues, personal back issues and just issues with everything, everyday to an extent I never thought possible. If I tell a customer "Hey, I have time next week to finish your project, I know it's been here a while". On Monday there will be a black out, I'll be bringing a family member to the ER or my back will go out. All actually happened. It's hard to get into a zone or get anything done with it's something like this every day.

Rewind a few months.... December we were basically closed the entire month for construction. Spent the month of January recovering from that construction and dealing with record low temperatures and endless snow fall (literally hours a day cleaning snow). This continued into February. It not only delayed things coming in and going out, the shop here in the winter is packed in with equipment making even simple tasks more difficult.

Anything that comes in for simple job turns out to be way more complicated that it was supposed to be. Anything I send out for a simple process comes back wrong and has to be warrantied. I shouldn't have to check the oil dipstick and tire pressures on a brand new car yet here we are... So my persistence on making sure things are done correctly leads to additional lead times and warranty headaches because I can't trust anyone to do anything right. This makes us look bad meanwhile we are the ones catching issues that the customer would not of noticed if they had sent out their cylinder directly to a plating company or a machine shop. Don't even get me started on endless price fluctuations and supply issues on just about everything.

So right now we are not excepting any work, not even a carburetor for cleaning. Big bore kits - don't ask. Anything I have to dig for or assemble is not available right now. Leave messages if there is no answer. Our hours of operation are changing daily. It's been an overwhelming time. Please use the website, limit tech question calls. We are making progress with projects here, it's just slower than normal. We are working on a lot of new parts across the board (more on that later) and just finished up a cylinder project, a crank, a T4 rear shock, multiple carb cleanings, custom throttle cables, TriZ headlight assemblies, etc...

Once the bench is cleared off we will be closing down to do some serious organization and shop maintenance. There's some new fancy equipment here collecting dust, new tool boxes with no tools in them. To maintain my sanity this stuff has to get done.

Thanks

Probably the first quick and successful service related repair attempt in 5 months. I'll take the W.

I'll be getting everyone up to speed next week. There's a lot of content waiting to be posted but everything here has been a struggle since the holidays. Stay tuned

Updates:

Construction is finished here, just need to do a lot of clean up. We are back working on projects and orders.

We have our phone #'s updated. I'll try my best to explain this. Our main line: 845-915-6851 is still our primary # but it is now textable. We were missing a lot of texts to this # because it was not a cell phone. All inbound calls are simply call forwarded to our newer more reliable land line that ends in 8095. So to recap, 845-915-6851 is still our main line but outgoing calls from us to you will come from the new 8095 office line that we have been using for months. We are cancelling our old cell phone # that ends in 5086.

Holiday hours: We are open today and half the day tomorrow. We will be closed the rest of the week for the holidays.

We will be posting info about a big "The holidays are over" January parts sale on a bunch of our parts. This has never been done before so don't miss out!

We will finally have some time to post a ton of content that we have been working on now that things have slowed down here.

We will be reaching out to anyone waiting on cylinder plating, cylinder boring, carburetor rebuilds and flywheel restoration. We are finishing up a lot of these projects.
