In regard to the letter circulating throughout Southern Illinois regarding the potential "cross-connection" of municipal water systems. I want to assure the residents of Christopher that the City of Christopher has no plans to privatize our water system.
The City has not been approached by any private company regarding the purchase, lease, or operation of our water services, and no discussions concerning privatization are taking place.
Our water system remains publicly owned and operated, and we are committed to providing safe and reliable water service to our community.
