Worked on something a little different last week. Bought this little Razor brand 24V at that was painted, had a 36V battery and barely had the body panels bolted. Owen picked out a new color and we pulled it apart and painted it. Also while it was apart we upgraded the ECS and throttle to 36V to match the battery. Than we put spacers all around to help with the flipping issue we encountered.

Headliner in the GTI had about 6000 thumbtacks holding it up. Everytime you'd drive with the windows down they'd fall in the seats and the foam would blow everywhere in the car. So decided while I was waiting on clutch parts id takle this job. Ive done a couple small headliners but nothing this big. After getting it cleaned good with a wire brush, I started laying the suede. It's nowhere close to perfect but a huge improvement from where we were.

No lights on the dash, steering fixed, ride height fixed and no oil burning smell on the 335!! Found out that one of the previous owners replaced the rack & pinion valve cover gasket, and steering wheel. Seems he did a s**t job at all three jobs. Found out that the 2 bolts that hold the rack to the subframe weren't tight, tightened them up and put a descent alignment on it and it drives way better (brake and traction control lights are now off). Took the H&R springs off and put the stock sport springs back on, which should keep the tire off the fenders. Replaced the clock spring (which looked like it was replaced before but broken when installed) and that got rid off air bag/ seat belt lights. Replaced the entire valve cover and gasket which seems to have fixed the burning oil smell. Next on the list is wrap the ugly wood grain interior trim with some titanium wrap. And try to figure out what suspension to run permanently, lowering springs or coilovers.

The other current project/toy. 2012 Volkswagen GTI with the sweet plaid interior and 6 speed manual transmission. Another German ride with plenty of lights on as well. Hopefully (fingers crosssed) its just the ABS module causing all the lights to illuminate. Check engine light was on for intake runner position sensor. This was fixed by a simple Amazon part and about 10 minutes. Installed a stage 1 tune and immediately destroyed the clutch, so that will be happening in the next few weeks, and will try to document that.

The newest toy/project in the fleet. 2007 BMW 335i with the infamous (good/bad) N54 and 6 speed manual. Such a great spec with the Space Grey paint and them red guts! The car has plenty of lights on in the dash and lots of stored codes. But, the first item to address was the H&R race springs that made the car sit extremely low, so low it busted the plastic fender. Also, there's an oil leak causing a burnt oil smell in the car. They car was scary to drive with what I thought was a bad alignment from a previous owner changing the rack & pinion and installing the lowering springs.
