Just out rust proofing in Menominee, WI. Customer had a previous GMC with GM Frame wax and know the importance of treating with Woolwax. Last time, he had to drive to Minneapolis. This time, he had Rust Proofers come right to his house. Six hours later, his new truck was throughly treated with Woolwax.

Some before and after pictures underneath a 2020 Nissan Titan. Customer was specifically looking for a stay wet coating like Woolwax due to the age of the vehicle. Some shops would apply a cosmoline like substance and the customer was looking to avoid that.

I just wanted to provide an update on recent changes in the rustproofig and undercoating market in the Eau Claire area. Rust Proofers is a full time rust proofing company. Recently, I noticed signs in the area for an auto detailing company that has added rust proofing after seeing the success of Rust Proofers. I know this for a fact because I know the owner knows exactly what Rust Proofers does. Competition is great. Rust Proofers works day in and day out doing one thing and one thing only. Rust proofing was never and “add on sale” to increase profit. It’s the core business.

The longest running company in the area recently changed owners after the guy doing it decades passed away. I met him in the past and he was a great guy. The website has yet to be updated and prices have gone up. It’s possible they still do a great job. Just be aware it’s not the same person doing it as it once was.

Just finished a 2026 Frontier with the Premier Package. Customer likes the "old school" nature of the Frontier with a V6 and no turbo and wants to keep it in the best condition possible. The service took a bit longer than usual with the product used and the rural location requiring a bit more clean up underneath. It turned out great and Rust Proofers has another satisfied customer.

If you look closely, you will see sand blowing out of the inside of the rocker panels here on. this 2017 GMC Sierra. This underscores the importance of proper prep being done before applying product. You may also notice the bubbling and rust coming through. The rockers were completely saturated with Woolwax which massively help slow down the corrosion.

This truck certainly needed a reapplication of Woolwax. However, it looked overall great underneath due to previous Woolwax application 5-66 years ago. Not bad for at all 10 year old Wisconsin truck!
