F-d up Friday. When you order new head bolts for a LS engine and the pitch just isn’t quite right and go in about 3 threads. Next stop garbage pail. I have seen this on a few different brands.

F-d up Friday. I’ve been doing this for almost 40 years and have never seen this. I’m sure there’s a good reason. Why does the valve have a big notch cut in it where the valve guide goes?

We got the second 65 289 Ford on the dyno. 10:1 compression, 214/224-.460 lift cam, performer intake and 600 brawler carb. The heads have 351w valves, 1.54 ex and 1.84 in. no porting. 298 hp @ 5600 and 320 trq @ 4000 rpm. Almost an exact copy of the last one. Within 2 hp.

Another 65 289 Ford almost ready to dyno. Copy of the last one. 10:1 compression. 214/224- .460 lift cam, aluminum intake and 600 Brawler carb. We’ll see how close our builds are.
