I have made the decision (a while ago) to stop wrenching. Backslider is closed indefinitely. I may take some small tune-up jobs throughout the summer but it won't be under Backslider.
I have been buying and selling antiques and collectibles for a few months.
It has kept me grounded, less irritable, and stress free. And I do pretty good at it.
I'm sure I'll start back up when the time is right.
With that being said, if you have things you would like to sell or get rid of let me know.
Old buildings or garages on your property that I can pick,what you deem trash is probably exactly what I am after.
Old signs,furniture,antique hardware, collectibles,game systems,toys,clothing, etc. older the better. Send me a message.

I want to thank everyone for their patience with me over the past handful of months. I fell off tremendously when it came to this business. After moving out of the commercial garage and back into my home garage I finally lost all momentum and desire to really work on things. I needed a break. And even though I was still taking a few jobs here and there I was not in it fully, I was burnt out. I am getting back into the swing of things and getting my priorities re-aligned.
I need to address a couple changes that I need to get better at as well as what you should expect.
-Customers have a form to fill out requesting all contact information that must be filled out COMPLETETLY.
-All jobs will require a $100 deposit due on drop off. This helps with covering a percentage of parts and remainder goes to invoice. Again I have typically always done this but have lacked lately and end up kicking myself in the ass.
-I have the right to reject any job at any point. With such a small space and winter coming up I need to prioritize better efficient jobs. This being said it would have to be an absolute PILE for me to reject it.
I am not posting this to deter any customers, Just being transparent. If you have contacted me over the past couple months and I have ghosted you, I am sorry. Do not take it personally. That being said I AM TAKING JOBS. Please reach out and we can chat with what you need done. Please share this post and get the word out, I am back!

Hello! I am trying to find a couple old homes, farms, or fields to metal detect tomorrow (sunday the 27th) in the surrounding areas as I finally have a good day out of the shop! No damage will be done to the property, items will be cleaned up and you will hardly notice i am there. If this is something that may interest you please send me a message, thanks!

Update: everything is moved to my garage besides the air compressor. if anyone is free this Sunday that can lend a hand moving that and a few other items let me know. Space is TIGHT. It will be a bit before all of the sites/socials are updated with accurate info. Since this is at my home garage it is a by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Call ahead of time. My cell number is 207-660-5539. Hey everyone, as some of you know I am moving back to my home garage soon( ideally this month). I just want to apologize for any un-answered emails or calls. I try to get back to everyone but with everything going on sometimes it slips my mind. That being said I am not taking any more jobs at the moment. The jobs I do have I am trying to get done quick in order to move out of this shop really soon.. That way I can get back into the swing of things sooner. So my next few weeks are going to be a mixture of finishing jobs, packing/cleaning up this shop, and making room/fixing my home garage. I have A LOT of work ahead of me so if anyone in my circle wants to lend a hand packing/moving/fixing I would greatly appreciate it.

Just wanted to give an update. Yes i am still open. I will be at this shop until the end of may. I have a few larger jobs I have to wrap up but other than that I am only taking smaller jobs. Once my lease is done here I will be moving back into my home garage until I can build a bigger garage on my property. That being said there will be a brief pause in the business until I am transitioned and functional between June and July. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are looking to get your machine ready for spring. Thanks!
