Eight years ago today on 19th June 2015, Rush blew the roof off the Air Canada Centre in Toronto at what was to be their final jaw-dropping hometown show.

19,800 fans. Three musical maestros. One glorious night.

An experience that will last a lifetime…

Having played 46 shows together in Toronto, today marks the 8th Anniversary of Geddy, Alex and Neil's final two gigs in the city where it all began. Their first hometown gig with the "new guy" took place on 11th September 1974 at the Seneca College Minkler Auditorium in East Toronto and they closed an impressive innings 41 years later by knocking it out of the park at the mighty Air Canada Centre on 17th and 19th June 2015.

The atmosphere at the Air Canada Centre on Bay Street in the South Core district of Downtown Toronto, was absolutely electric. Family, friends and fans gathered from around the world to the court of the three kings for two stunning performances, especially on the second night. As Geddy, Alex and Neil left the stage that night, I didn't realise it would actually be the last time I'd see them perform together.

They have left the world with a unique and monumental creative legacy through their music, their art, their humour, their generosity and their spirit for life. Their music has united, shaped, defined, motivated and inspired citizens of the world, young and old. But perhaps most importantly, they have left us all with some memories that will last forever.

I for one, will remember those very special summer nights in Toronto in June 2015 for the rest of my life… ❤️🇨🇦
