Your seatbelt looks fine. But after a collision, looks can be very deceiving.

Seatbelt pretensioners are single-use devices. During a moderate to severe collision they fire automatically, locking the belt tight against your body to reduce injury. Once that happens, the pretensioner is spent — even if the belt itself appears completely normal from the outside. There's no visible sign that it's no longer functional. It just won't work the next time you need it to.

Owning an EV or hybrid is great — until it's been in a collision and you need to find a shop that actually knows what they're doing.

Electric and hybrid vehicles are fundamentally different from traditional gas-powered cars, and that difference doesn't stop at the drivetrain. High-voltage battery systems, unique structural components, specialized safety protocols during disassembly and repair — these aren't things you want a shop to figure out on the fly with your vehicle.
