Forsberg, Law, and Ford Get Wins Night One of Fall Nationals Photo Credit: Watte12Worth Photography and John Polaschek
(Chico, CA) September 25, 2026…Andy Forsberg returned to Silver Dollar Speedway victory lane Friday night by capturing the 30-lap winged 360 sprint car main event. Forsberg inherited the lead on lap five after early leader Koa Crane was crashed into by a slower car. Chance Grasty suffered wing damage in the same accident but stayed on track and continued. Forsberg led the field back to green. It was a position that he never relinquished. The best on track race involved Grasty, Shane Golobic and Justin Sanders. These three drivers changed spots a few times throughout the final five laps. Golobic went from fourth to second on lap 28. Golobic held on to second. Grasty fended off Sanders for third. Tanner Carrick was fast all night and finished fifth.
With the win, Forsberg now has 62 career wins at Silver Dollar Speedway and passed Tim Kaeding for 4th place in all time wins. Forsberg’s team won a total of $4,000 with the $2,000 Friday night bonus from Lippert Construction, Inc. Landon Brooks charged from his 13th starting spot to a sixth-place finish. Dlyan Bloomfield won the first heat race. Crane grabbed the win during heat race two. Golobic won the third heat race. Forsberg captured the fourth and final heat race win.
Nick Parker led all 12 laps to win the B main event. Jayce Steinberg dominated the eight lap C main event.
A total of 45-winged 360 sprint cars competed during night one of the Fall Nationals in tribute to Stephen Allard. Sharing the Bodega Slice Pizza fast time award was Chance Grasty and Cole Croft. Fry’s Metal also kicked in an extra $100.
Howard Law won an exciting and competitive Rental Guys Hobby Stock main event. Law beat Zach Lindgren for the win. Those two drivers raced side by side for nearly half of the race. Lindgren led the first half of the race. Law was committed to the bottom of the track while Lindgren was locked into the high scary side. Law took the lead on lap 13 and held off Lindgren. Kyle Cheney rocketed up to a third-place finish. Post race, Law rolled a pair of die to give two drivers extra money. The first role was one. The second rolls were two sets of a one. So, Law and Lindgren pocketed the extra money presented by Jared Flower. Jace Badeker finished fourth. Matt Magenheimer was fifth. A total of 21 Rental Guy Hobby Stocks competed tonight.
Jimmy Ford won an action-packed Sport Mod main event. Ten drivers competed in the night one race. Kevin Pendergrass shot out to the early lead. Ford was battling with Jason Clayton Jr. for second. As the three battled all together on lap 13, contact between the top two sent leader Pendergrass around. Under the yellow, both Ford and Clayton Jr. seemed to think both were the leaders. Going into turn three and under yellow, the two crashed together and stopped. It took roughly 10 minutes to untangle those two cars. Once Ford was cleared, he resumed the race at the leader. Clayton Jr. could not continue. Once up front, Ford led the final 7 laps and picked up the win. Colton Chew drove a solid race and finished second. Cole Fear ran third. Phil Marino was fourth. Austin Merritt rounded out the top five.
