🎄🏆 Honoring an Outstanding Partnership🏆🎄

Today, Festival of Light Director Matt Stockman had the privilege of visiting the University of Oklahoma Gallogly College of Electrical Engineering to present the Redbud Award to Dr. Reza Kandezy in recognition of the college's outstanding partnership with the Chickasha Festival of Light.

Through the leadership of Dr. Kandezy and the incredible work of OU electrical engineering students, the Festival's iconic **Big Tree** has been transformed with state-of-the-art digital lighting technology. Together, they redesigned and modernized one of the Festival of Light's most recognizable attractions, creating a dynamic display that will continue to amaze visitors for years to come.

This partnership is about much more than lights—it provided students with valuable real-world, hands-on engineering experience while helping preserve and enhance a cherished Oklahoma holiday tradition.

We are grateful to Dr. Kandezy, the Gallogly College of ElectricalEngineering, and the talented students whose innovation, creativity, and dedication helped bring this vision to life.

🍴🎄Introducing the Inaugural Taste of Chickasha!🎄🍴

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of delicious food, great company, and community spirit—all while supporting the Chickasha Festival of Light!

Join us on **Saturday, July 18, from 6:00–9:00 p.m.** at the **Rock Island Depot** as some of Chickasha's favorite restaurants serve up samples of their signature dishes and desserts. It's the perfect opportunity to discover new favorites, support local businesses, and help keep one of Oklahoma's premier holiday traditions shining bright.

As a nonprofit, donation-funded event, every ticket purchased helps support the Chickasha Festival of Light and ensures we can continue providing a free holiday experience for more than 250,000 visitors each year.
