With Gas prices $5/gal in some areas, people may think they can get away with using E85 at half the price and end up doing more damage than intended! Whether young or old this lesson shouldn't be learned the hard way! Help spread the word.

Only vehicles explicitly labeled as Flex Fuel or that have a yellow gas cap are designed to use E85. Using E85 (85% ethanol) can cause engine hesitation, rough idle, check engine lights, and potential damage to fuel system components. Stick to unleaded gasoline with 10% ethanol (E10) or less.
-What You Need to Know:
*Damage Potential: Using E85 can damage rubber, metal, and plastic components not designed for high ethanol levels.
*Performance Issues: The engine may run poorly or exhibit severe power loss, as standard fuel injectors cannot handle the increased fuel demand of E85.
*Warranty Issues: Fuel system damage caused by using E85 is not covered under the Honda Distributor's Limited Warranty.
*If You Already Filled Up: It is advised to siphon the fuel out, or if the tank is mostly filled with gasoline already, try to dilute it immediately with unleaded fuel and monitor the engine performance.
Repeat: Only vehicles explicitly labeled as Flex Fuel or that have a yellow gas cap are designed to use E85.
