Infinitybox

Infinitybox The official page of Infinitybox, LLC. We make the most advanced wiring systems for all types of car restorations. Now there is. Anything.

The Only Limit Is Your Imagination

When you think of an electrical system for your car, the first thing that comes to mind is the traditional wiring harness that you find in almost every automobile on the road. Its hundreds or thousands of yards of wires, junction boxes, relays and more. Now imagine how daunting of a task it would be to replace that harness. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an e

asier way? The ISIS™ Intelligent Multiplex System. No relays, no fuse boxes, no fixed functionality. Everything you need is contained in the system and it can do anything you want. ISIS isn’t your average every day automotive electrical system, it’s much more. It’s a complete solid-state electrical system that can be used as a stand alone system for restorations, kit car or street rod builds; OEM bus, RV or boat builds. It can be used as an overlay to your OEM system for car mods like those seen on "Pimp my Ride". Benefits include:
- Increased Reliability
- Reduced Vehicle Weight
- Reduced Installation Time
- Flexible Setup and Configuration

What if you could watch your MASTERCELL NGX think?

Messaging Mode does exactly that. It's the deepest diagnostic tool built into the inSIGHT screen, and it shows you in real time what your MASTERCELL NGX does the moment you flip a switch.

Here's how it works. Put the MASTERCELL NGX into Messaging Mode and press a button — say your horn. The screen instantly shows you the input it saw turn on, the POWERCELL it's commanding, and the exact output it's switching. Release the button and it confirms the input turned off. Every switch in your car, tracked live on the screen.

This is where troubleshooting gets easy. Say your horn isn't working. Messaging Mode tells you three things at once: whether your switch is actually working, whether you've got the right input wire landed on it, and whether the correct output is being commanded in response. Instead of chasing a problem blind, you watch the whole chain from switch to output and see exactly where it breaks down.

It's built right into the module. No laptop, no meter — just your MASTERCELL NGX and the inSIGHT screen.

Your MASTERCELL NGX can show you exactly what every device on your Infinitybox network is doing — in real time. We call it polling.

Once you've pulled up your System Inventory, highlight any POWERCELL or inMOTION Cell, press SELECT, and the inSIGHT screen drills right into that device.

Poll a POWERCELL and you'll see the battery voltage measured right at the cell, its temperature, the on/off state of all 10 outputs, and the live current draw on every single circuit. That current reading is where the real troubleshooting power comes from. Command an output on but see 0.0 amps flowing through it? That tells you something downstream is broken — a blown fuse, a broken wire, a bad ground, or a burned-out bulb — and points you right to the circuit that needs attention.

Poll an inMOTION Cell and you'll see the state of its relay and MOSFET outputs, so you can confirm your windows, locks, and other functions are switching the way they should.

It takes the guesswork out of troubleshooting. No laptop, no meter, no chasing wires blind — just your MASTERCELL and the inSIGHT screen.

We had Scott and Chad Anderson from stop by the office today. It was great to spend some time with them and see the 1961 Impala they built. This is an amazing piece of technology. When was the last time you saw a Hydrogen powered LT4? Keep watching for more details.

Nothing says American like a great car. This Fourth of July, we're celebrating the builders, the tinkerers, and the weekend wrench-turners who keep that passion alive — the people who see a project car not as a machine, but as something worth pouring themselves into.

We've been rolling out a lot of technical posts to show off the new features of our Next Generation Infinitybox system. Now we want to turn the spotlight on you.

Show us what you've built with your Infinitybox system — Legacy or NGX.

Got a really clean install? Did you do something creative to control your car? Have some slick shots of the finished project that deserve an audience?

Post your pictures in the comments and tag us, or email them to [email protected] with a write-up of the build. We'll feature the best on our website and across our channels.

From all of us at Infinitybox — happy Fourth, and keep building.

A traditional wiring harness can't tell you anything. If something isn't working, you're left with a test light, a multimeter, and a lot of guessing.

Your Infinitybox system is different. The MASTERCELL NGX has diagnostic tools built right in — and the System Inventory screen is one of the most useful. It shows you every device connected on your network — each POWERCELL, inMOTION Cell, and peripheral — right on the inSIGHT screen.

It answers two questions in seconds:

Is everything connected? The screen shows a count of how many devices are on the network. Compare it to what you installed. If a device is missing, you've got a power or CAN cable problem to chase — and you know right where to look.

Is everything addressed correctly? This is the tricky one. A device can be powered and communicating perfectly but still set to the wrong address — and the commands meant for it never arrive. Inventory lets you see what each device is reporting as, so you can spot an addressing mistake that's almost impossible to find any other way.

That's the difference between a system that helps you build and troubleshoot, and a bundle of wires that leaves you on your own. No laptop, no guesswork — just your MASTERCELL and the inSIGHT screen.

"Why are my parking lights on?"

It's one of the most common questions we hear — and your MASTERCELL NGX can answer it in seconds.

The Switch States screen gives you a real-time view of every switch input on your system. Each input shows a 0 when it's off and a 1 when it's on. Whatever you're chasing — parking lights that won't shut off, a horn that won't sound, a switch that doesn't seem to do anything — you can pull up the screen, find that input, and see exactly what the MASTERCELL is seeing. If an input reads 1 when its switch is off, you've usually got a switch wired wrong or a wire shorted to ground, and now you know right where to look.

But Switch States isn't just for troubleshooting. Because the MASTERCELL NGX reads your switch inputs directly, you can wire and test every switch in your car before you connect a single load to a POWERCELL. Flip a switch, watch the digit change, and confirm your harness is right as you build. It turns a big wiring job into small steps you can check off one at a time.

No laptop. No test light. Just your MASTERCELL and the inSIGHT screen.

The inSIGHT screen on your MASTERCELL NGX is your window into your Infinitybox system — and the main menu is where all the setup and diagnostic tools live.
Press the HOME button and you'll find six options on the menu. Here's what each one does:
▪️ Switch States — a real-time view of every switch input, so you can confirm your wiring is correct
▪️ System Inv — a full inventory of every POWERCELL, inMOTION, inVIEW, and inCONTROL device on your network
▪️ System Info — your software revision and the configuration loaded on your system
▪️ inRESERVE — set up Active Battery Management to protect your battery from drain
▪️ inMOTION — assign your inMOTION NGX door modules to their positions
▪️ DEBUG — our Messaging Mode, an advanced tool that shows you exactly what the MASTERCELL sees and does in real time
All of it built into the unit. No laptop, no extra hardware, no proprietary tools.
This post is your guided tour of the main menu. We'll be following up with a detailed deep dive into each option. Read the full breakdown on the blog: https://infinitybox.com/wiring/mastercell-ngx-main-menu/
