Every neighborhood had its own soundtrack.
That loud pickup. That cammed muscle car. That old V8 that had been rumbling down the same street for 20 years.
You didn’t have to see it.
You heard it coming—and you already knew who it was.
That made me think about our walk with God.
When we enter a room, when we go to work, when we’re around our family, or when life gets difficult—can people recognize that we belong to Jesus before we even tell them?
Not because we’re perfect, but because our lives produce a different sound.
A sound of love instead of hate.
Grace instead of judgment.
Forgiveness instead of bitterness.
Faith instead of fear.
Peace in the middle of the storm.
Jesus said, “You will recognize them by their fruits.” — Matthew 7:16
Anybody can say, “I’m a Christian.” But our fruit should speak before our mouth does.
Just like you could recognize that old V8 before it ever turned the corner, people should be able to recognize Jesus in us by the way we live.
The question isn’t just, “Do people know my name?”
The question is, “When they experience my life, do they recognize His?”
So here’s the challenge:
If nobody heard you say the name of Jesus today, would the way you lived still tell them that you belong to Him?
When pressure hits, what comes out of you?
When someone hurts you, what comes out of you?
When nobody is watching, who are you?
Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
Don’t just wear the name Christian—live the life.
Let your love be loud.
Let your faith be unmistakable.
Let your fruit speak for itself.
Live so close to Jesus that people recognize His presence in you before you ever have to announce His name.
🔥 Make sure the sound of your life matches the Savior you say you follow. ✝️☝🏼🙏💪🏼
