Here’s something I think everybody should know when it comes to today’s vehicles.

I completely understand that most people don’t know exactly how their vehicles work, and honestly, I don’t blame you! These vehicles are getting more complex every year with all the technology being built into them. Heck, even I have to constantly learn, research, and stay up to date just to keep up with everything! 🔧💻

Here’s a little tip from your friends at TDC Automotive and Light Duty Diesel!

Google and all these AI apps can be handy tools, but there’s one thing they ARE NOT… DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS!

You might search for a problem your vehicle is having, plug in a few symptoms, and end up convinced you’re looking at a repair that’s going to cost you some serious $$$$$. But what if the actual problem is something as simple as a dirty air filter or a small vacuum leak causing your engine to run rough?

You could be thinking you need a $300 throttle body when, in reality, all you needed was a little vacuum hose! 😳

THIS IS WHERE I COME INTO PLAY!

When you bring your vehicle to TDC, I don’t just pull a trouble code, look up the suggested repair, and start throwing parts at it.

I start by scanning the vehicle’s computer systems to see what’s going on and what the computers are unhappy about. Then the real work begins! I perform actual testing, check system operation, and work toward finding the root cause of the problem before recommending repairs.

A trouble code is a starting point, NOT a guaranteed answer!

💰 I KNOW TIMES ARE TOUGH.

Believe me, I understand! I live in this same world, pay these same expensive prices, and feel the pinch just like everyone else. I know how stressful it can be when your vehicle needs repairs, especially when you depend on it every single day.

My goal isn’t to nickel-and-dime you to death or sell you parts you don’t need. My goal is to get your vehicle into my shop, perform proper diagnostics, find the problem, and get you back on the road with the repair done right, using quality parts and good old-fashioned hard work.

I may not always be the cheapest guy in town, but I will always strive to provide quality work, honest recommendations, and the best value I can for your hard-earned money.

✅ Battery, starting, and charging system tests – Making sure the battery and electrical charging system are doing what they’re supposed to do.

While no inspection can guarantee a trouble-free vehicle, having it checked out before you buy can help you make a more informed decision and potentially save you from some costly surprises!
