Apple Valley Agri/Trucking is looking for a well-qualified and motivated Diesel Equipment Mechanic to join our team. Applicant must have experience with servicing Farm Equipment, Semis, Trailers, Straight Trucks, and Heavy Equipment. Applicants need to be flexible, dependable, self-motivated, trustworthy and a team player.
Responsibilities:
• Routine servicing & overhauling farm equipment, semis, trailers, straight trucks and heavy equipment.
• Detecting technical malfunctions and part needs
• Replacing parts and appropriately reassembling
• Communicating repair needs to management
• Checking electrical systems and transmission parts and ensuring proper operations
• Place necessary orders to complete repairs
• Ability to understand inventory and the life cycle of parts
• Work with warranty and returns to be sure they are handled efficiently
• Occasional driving when necessary for production goals
• Perform DOT Inspections
• Keep the shop and work area clean and organized.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience working as a diesel mechanic and/or related schooling
• Must have valid Wisconsin driver's license, Class A CDL or the ability to acquire one
• Certified in air brake repairs
• Certified in DOT inspections
• Good attention to detail, including completing paperwork properly
• Willingness to complete training courses
• MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS

Pay: Based on Experience
Schedule: Monday- Friday (Extended Hours/Days during harvest and peak season)
Job Type (Year-Round): Full-time (Minimum 40 Hours/Week)
