Well this is something we never dreamed we’d have to write and it feels more like a nightmare, but here it goes…
Yesterday we lost one of our own.
TKM is a family, and this runs especially true and deep for Tyler Hendrix.
His parents are among our closest friends and our boys grew up together.
Just 3 short weeks ago we proudly watched them walk across the stage at their highschool graduation...
We have had the privilege of watching Tyler grow from a wild little dude with so much enthusiasm for life, to a young man ready to take on the world and USAF bound.
The shock and heartbreak of this loss is impossible to put into words.
This is an incredible loss for not only the Hendrix family and our family but the whole community and the rest of the world that Tyler would have impacted if given more time here.
Tyler lived his life fast and wide open.
Confident, fearless and joyful.
He packed more laughs, adventure and straight up fu**in around into 18yrs than many achieve with much more time on this earth.
Life truly isn’t fair.
If you had the pleasure of interacting w Tyler here, you know that he was always ready to help. Whether it was here at the boatyard, helping a friend, or with his beloved fire company, he never hesitated.
We know there are countless stories of Tyler making people laugh and lending a helping hand, at the boatyard and everywhere.
