As a general service repair provider, Friendly not only COMES to you, but charges LESS per hour for LABOR. That’s for a lot of the same services you'll get at the big shops. The labor at Firestone, Sears, AAA, Goodyear, Precision, Griffin, Pep Boys, Tire Kingdom and Meineke average $100+ an hour. At $75.00 an hour, F_A_Rs labor charges are much less than of any of those shops for maintenance repairs. I don't have to pay for a staff, a huge building or corporate expenses, so my overhead is always low. You're paying for Friendly service, proper repairs, guidance and skills. IN ADDITION, WHAT ABOUT YOU HAVING TO MAKE TIME TO GET TO THE SHOP, TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE REPAIR PROCESS, LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AND GET A RIDE? WHY NOT HAVE THE WORK DONE AT YOUR HOME, PLACE OF WORK? Q: What makes your service better than everyone else? A: I wouldn't say our services are 'better' than anyone else's. However, I am personally invested in the maintenance of your vehicle and will always do the best I can on every repair. My mission is to ensure your vehicle is repaired correctly and you're happy with the results. Q: Why should I work with you? A: There are three main reasons why you should work with Friendly;
• Convenience. We come to you at your home or wherever you are. Once the vehicle is examined, we contact our main supplier(s) for the parts that are needed and their prices. If you live very far away, (from the Univ Area) we’ll compare it to prices in the area in which you live, and decide where will pick up the part(s).
• Price. Our prices are less than most chain store shops. My charges are transparent and we will not nickel and dime you to inflate the final price. You know what you're paying for and why. In addition, whatever commercial discounts we get in buying the parts, the customer gets the exact same discount. We don't mark up on parts. However, the customer pays us to pick up any parts for the repair.
• Honesty. We will not take on any jobs that we believe are over our head which would cause more harm than good to your vehicle. Many people will try to take on a job just to earn a buck. Also, we recommend parts that you need, and nothing more. We don't believe in trying to inflate the bottom line. We want to keep you for the long run, not for just one 'big job' and never see you again. Q: What is your warranty policy? A: We only offer warranties on our work. If we install a part incorrectly or break that part, we will come back to install it correctly, free of charge. If the part was defective or failed before it's in warranty date as indicated from the maker, we offer no warranty and labor will be charged to install a new part. Q: How do you accept payments? A: We will accept payments via cash, check*, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp & PayPal in full, at the time of completion of the work, unless there was an agreement previously made, to not accept full payment but rather into the future. Q: What are your hours? A: Our hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM. However, if a repair goes into overtime, we will stay to finish it, provided it doesn't get too dark or cold or it's not raining. Q: What about your reference list? Do you have one? A: We sure do and we'd be proud to provide that list to you whenever you ask for it. We work hard to earn the repeat business of the current client and to ensure that they're happy enough to tell others about the service they received. Q: Tell me about your pricing policies. A: The pricing policy is simple and transparent. We charge $60 per hour of service, and $1 per mile out of the 28213 area code, no matter what is being done from wiper blade replacements to belts to picking up parts to ball joints to window motors and so on. All parts will be paid for by the client. Any special tools and equipment purchased to complete the job that we do not have will be divided in half, with Friendly keeping the tool. Q: Are there any other requirements of the client? A: Not many, but we do need water, a power source and occasionally, a restroom (LOL). Q: Tell me about the services that you DON'T do. A:
• We don't diagnose every single check engine light symptom, since the best scanners are well over $3,000. BUT, sometimes the light will come because a sensor finds a mechanical or electrical fault, which we can check out. However, if you need an electronic control sensor, module, actuator or any other electronic parts for any system diagnosed to determine if they’re faulty, we’ll send you to a shop that we trust. When it's diagnosed by that shop, you'll have the choice to contact us to replace the part.
• We don't do internal transmission repair, but we can remove many of the external parts for repair or replacement. We can also remove a damaged transmission and replace it with another. Since many transmission designs very by vehicle, lets discuss your vehicle to be sure.
• We cannot do any repairs that require withdrawing Freon from your cold air conditioning system since we do not carry that equipment.
• We don't do any welding, plasma or torch cutting on any vehicle as we do not carry that equipment.
• We do not install front or rear windshields. If any of the sliding glass in your door or sunroof is broken, that is work we can do.
• We don't do extensive bodywork or painting. If you had a crash and the hood was bent or the fender was damaged, it can be removed to try and get it back into shape. If you had any extensive frame damage, that is not work that can be completed by Friendly. Q; Where do you go? A; Our main service area is in the University City area of Charlotte. However, Friendly has clients in Stallings, Mt Holly, Gastonia, Harrisburg, Rock Hill, Lancaster, Huntersville and Concord so we’ll pretty much go anywhere. Client pays for any mileage ($1 per mile) beyond the University City area (28213). F_A_R will come to any location that is legal and safe. We can come to pretty much anywhere you are at. Friendly will come to your work location, provided your building management is okay with that and you don't get in any trouble. Of course we will come to your house, provided your HOA doesn't make any issue with that. Also, if you're broken down on the side of the highway, Friendly get your car moved to the side of the road and commence repairs.
