Good morning everyone, this is an update regarding the 1982 Trans Am. We are finalizing the vehicle for the owner.

Yesterday, we successfully reattached the transmission to the engine and secured the flywheel to the crankshaft, appreciating the utility of Dow pins in this process.

Remaining tasks include connecting various components, after which we will fire up the engine today.

However, our inspection revealed that the timing was 180 degrees off, necessitating correction, and some firing order adjustments are required. Consequently, today will focus on rectifying these issues, as well as replacing the transmission fluid and performing an oil change.

Appreciation is extended to the owner for this WRX vehicle that required several upgrades.

We replaced the clutch rubber hose with a stainless steel alternative and re-bled the system. Additionally, we installed the AeroCatch hood pin system on the carbon fiber hood and replaced the top mount mounting bushings with new components. Furthermore, we installed the top mount shroud kit on the carbon fiber hood using rivet bolts and nuts.

Good morning everyone, we have commenced work on our next project, a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am inspired by Knight Rider.

The vehicle is experiencing oil leakage around the oil pan and transmission fluid leakage around the transmission pan. Notably, a puddle of transmission fluid was discovered inside the bell housing cover.

To address these issues, we will replace the transmission pan gasket and refill it with new transmission fluid. Fortunately, the filter has already been replaced, eliminating the need for that task.

Additionally, we will completely replace the oil pan and utilize the gasket kit to secure it in place. Further investigation is required to diagnose the malfunctioning speedometer in the transmission.
